Deep Tech Mix - No Ableton in Sight!

Although i've been DJing for a decade or so, I completely missed the transition from vinyl to digital, and so this mix has been a long time coming. My first attempt on CDJ's, i think it's a pretty decent effort and would really appreciate your comments.

    Tracklist:

    1. 'My Big Time' - Hernan Nunzi
    2. 'Ghosts in My Machine' - Milton Jackson
    3. 'Proper Balance' - Consistent
    4. 'Deviate' - Manuel Tur & D-Play
    5. 'Let Me Dance' (Sebo K Remix) - Martin Landsky
    6. 'Sharing Transparency' (Jon Silva Deep House Mix) - 1st Class
    7. 'My Perogatives' - After Tea
    8. 'Dirty 'Ol' Burt' - Polder
    9. 'Childhood's End' (Kollectiv Turmstrasse Remix) - Pele
    10. 'Gluhwurmchen' (Cassy Remix) - Liebe Ist Cool
    11. 'Dead Souls' (Radio Slave Long Distance Kiss MIx) - Mile Caro & Frank Garcia
    12. 'Radar' - H.O.S.H & Stimming
    13. 'Les Djinns' (Trentemoller Remix) - Djuma Soundsystem

Is that in mp3 or some other format? The file downloads without an extension, and adding .mp3 to it doesn't play.

Yeah a few of them are reasonably old, just haven't had the chance to use them in a mix until now

You've got great taste man. I'd love to hear this type of music at an afterhours. Kind of lost me a lil' bit with the energy level during tracks 8-10 and wasn't feeling the transition from the first and second track. #2 & #11 and #12 were real sick! Good work on going between genres, heard a bit of tech-house, minimal, and deep house stuff.

Thanks dude much appreciated. Yeah the first mix was a bit clumsy...on reflection don't think the first track was a great choice to start with. Thanks for the comments

i'll be sure to give a review
                    some good tracks in there

                    :side:note:
I have played vinyl for quite awhile and just picked up serato this past NYE and use the control vinyl of course. I am playing a gig this weekend where only CDJ's will be available and had to practice on a buddies pair a few times to get acquainted. It was almost like learning all over again but it didnt take to long to catch on....not a fan so far.
Feels like Im getting farther and farther away from the music.....

However, I did enjoy not worrying about drift in the tempo. Made it much easier to concentrate on EQ and effefcts.

Re: Deep Tech Mix - No Ableton in Sight!

                      Hey Greg. Enjoyed the mix.

Mixing overall was solid. Nice and smooth and good EQ'ing but I would have liked to have heard some longer mixes where the rhythms and melodies interacted a little more.

Good track selection but the mix didnt seem to go anywhere. I felt it stayed at the same level throughout instead of building to a climax or dropping into the depths.

Def. recommend giving this a listen. Just trying to be critical

Oh and BTW...this mix is in MONO. Are you aware of this?
