    Free system?

Microsoft currently has Windows Vista Beta 2, Office 2007, and Internet Explorer 7 all available for download from their website. I'm about 75% complete downloading Vista right now, then will be getting O2K7. Anybody else working in an IT-related field might want to load it on a test system for a while to play around.

      Re: Free system?

I've been playing with Vista since the first beta release, earlier this year, and have been playing with Office 12 for some months now. Could be quite good once this stuff is officially released. Some cool features.
As for IE7... too little WAY too late. ha ha.

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

As I stated, been playing with Office 12 for a while and haven't had too many issues. Sometimes, some of the apps. will just close out on you but that's the joy of a beta.
I don't know what version is available on microsoft.com, maybe the one that fits on a cd-r? I've got the full fledged multi-GB version that's jam packed with all of those multi-server apps. Never did get around to all of them though. No time.
Oh yeah, I do like a lot of the newer interfaces. Well, newer to microsoft apps. but if you've been playing with enough office apps. from other companies, nothing really "new".

I have Vista and Office 2k7 installed, and I actually like them. They're both extremely different interfaces, though... got rid of all conventional pull-down menus everywhere, and made everything much more animated. I'm actually surprised with Outlook 2k7 though... it seems to have made no changes from 2003
