At the moment my favorite beer is Newcastle Brown, though for lager Sol is an excellent beer, and Desperado also!
When I drink spirits, I enjoy spiced rum like Captain Morgans, though its almost too sweet, Vat 19 is damn near perfect, excellent with coke, and Absolut with water and lime cordial is beautiful!
That being said, i'm a poor student, so usually when i'm drinking its a 2 litre bottle of Strongbow... and I have a penchant for Buckfast.

Trust me I thought the same thing, but it's honestly the smoothest vodka I've ever had. If you have around 50-90 bucks to drop on a bottle and remotely like vodka, it's a great buy.
I don't mind vodka but I never saw the novelty in all of the premium brands. Anything which is better by tasting less and less flavourful and more like water doesn't seem that great to me. Give me a good gin and tonic and I'm happy.
