    turntable.fm

Cool new music web out there that lets you play DJ for all your friends, and lets you do "collaborative" mixes.

Life hacker has a better description than I can come up with. (http://lifehacker.com/5812986/turnta...me-time-waster)

I made a room called "MercuryServer" so drop in a cue up your favorite tracks for when its your turn on the decks. Its still in beta and its "invite only" but you just need to have a friend on facebook who already has an invite to get yours instantly. If you need one, PM me and I can add you.

Come on, Scott, you're still young! Being a true loser takes years of ineptitude.

I just discovered this site yesterday. The thing that i don't like about it is that there has to be active participation to discover new music vs passively using it without your friends. I have a hard enough time getting my friends to the bar.... there 's no way I'll get them all in an internet chat room at the same time to talk shop

it's a cool premise! a friend ( jetatek ) sent me an invite the other day for the state palace theatre raves from years ago.

You don't have to be active really Pickle. I just leave the room open while I am working and do what I do normally while working on the computer. If someone pops in a starts playing something, I'll give it a listen. If its not my thing, I just mute them and put my own tunes back on on winamp or grooveshark.

You CAN also use it by yourself. I made a dummy facebook account and can park that in a room and then just let my playlist play on my main account.

If anyone is at work still and wants to spin a few tunes for the group, pop on in... just put the room back up.
