Theres an easy way to check for Streamrippers. I kick them out all the time! :-) Check the UserAgents in the logs... And ban their ass!

Also: you might want to think about setting up timeouts on the server. I have my primary Server set to time out all clients after 2 hours - If a human is tuned in, or Winamp, it will auto connect. MOST Streamrippers dont auto re-connect. Some do, but not all.
