Release Notes :
01. Mason featuring Aqualung – Little Angel (Robert Babicz Sunshine Mix) [Animal Language | MOO012]
Dutch duo Mason make the kind of records that often defy being pigeon-holed and given a label. Their productions have been destroying dance floors to tearing it up the World’s charts since 2006, laying the foundations for more forward thinking music. 2009 saw the launch of Mason’s label, ‘Animal Language’ and regular parties in Amsterdam under the same name. It’s not about making records for a particular set of Djs or trendy scene but just good honest music!
Mason have provided the perfect ammunition for a White Isle vibe with this Italo-disco tinged collaboration featuring singer/songwriter Matt Hales AKA ‘Aqualung’. Aqualung’s ‘Strange and Beautiful’ was a huge top 10 hit in the UK back in 2002 and this huge talent, now based in L.A. continues to write gorgeous and intimate songs.
Mason retain the intimacy and simplicity of Aqualung’s languid vocals with a nicely rocking salute to Georgio Moroder in their original version taken from their current album ‘They Are Among Us’. ‘Little Angel’ has been remixed into the sublime by Robert Babicz who takes an acid house inspired bassline and adds his own guitar and atmospherics to create a sun tinted tech house beauty. Rex The Dog provides his signature left of centre dance floor vibe with a medium paced retro re-working with lovely squelchy 80’s arpeggiators and a guitar break straight out of the Top Gun soundtrack. Belgium’s Kolombo makes an equally emotive treatment adding a big wobbly groove and a few buckets of acid to this beautiful song. No Animal Language release is complete without its ‘Refurb’ and this one comes in the shape of classic Elevator Muzak. With plenty of panpipes and faux strings this is like taking a ride in the elevator of a 70’s department store.

Claude VonStroke - Bird Brain Remixed
Title: Bird Brain Remixed Cat-No: DB044 Release date: December, 2010
All the remixes from Claude VonStroke’s hit album, “Bird Brain” put together in one release. The artists chosen range all the way from the deep bootylicious Bruno Pronsato to the massive Drum n Bass of Dj Marky & S.P.Y. Claude hand picked each remixer for their distinct production style and attention to detail. Some of the remixes came out even better than the originals. The list of remixers reads like a who’s who of underground dance music including Robag Wruhme, Stimming, Holger Zilske, Tim Green, dOP, Maetrik, DJ Marky & S.P.Y., Julio Bashmore, Bruno Pronsato, Tanner Ross, Catz n Dogz, Donk Boys, Voodeux, Christian Martin and more!
Dirtybird is an independent electronic music record label based in Los Angeles, California. We've been dropping bass lines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.
03. Tone Float - Blue Velvet [Urbantorque | Promo]
Tone Float hate “tag” oriented web 2.0 way to cross audio flux. Music has the right to people, dancefloor is a state of mind. Tone Float is a live session experience and dj/live set, close to house/electronic sounds, and techno structure. Composed by two different brain Da Lukas and Paolo Bigazzi, Tone Float is a melting around electronic mellow melodies and house grooving mood.
Live performance is the core of the project, as live studio approch as session, who define also a mark of making tracks. Tone Float collects works as Ep, including original version of the tracks and live performance.... We wanna reach many “rooms”. That's our commitment.

04. 9west - Chasing Demons (Velvet EP) [Dessous Digital | DESDD05]
Continuing from their last remarkable EP on Dessous, the Greece-based duo 9West are back with more nocturnal grooves for the mind, body and the party!
The heavy, intricate percussion of ‚Chasing Demons‘ rolls forward like a classic house bomb. The duo have really developed a tight sound that reflects the history of the fuller house movement, however it‘s been morphed and reflected through these more refined reductions for the club. ‚Chasing Demons‘ is a pure DJ‘s delight!
Super groovy and crafty, ‚Moments‘ continues the tooly, drummy tip, breaking things down mid-way for an introspective passage of spoken word to lead us deeper into the hypnotism.
The smooth tones of ‚Velvet‘ open up yet more playful ideas as the pair work the funk in this humid, summery beauty. It‘s hard not to feel the mediterranean vibes seeping through as the blissed out pads and subtle airy melodies filter into your headspace.
‚The Big Picture‘ is a retrospective bonus track that also tugs on the heart strings, opening up a touching melodic theme as their trademark crisp beats work the floor.
Released by: Dessous Digital

05. Paul Kalkbrenner - Kruppzeug (Icke Wieder LP) [Paul Kalkbrenner Musik | PKM002LP]
Paul Kalkbrenner will release his next album this June, entitled Icke Wider ("Me Again").
"Due to popular and more frequent demand, I locked myself away in the first weeks of the year and recorded a new album. There won't be any singing on the album, no music of tomorrow either, it feels generally more like... well, old times."
The record will be his first body of new music since Berlin Calling, the 2008 album and feature film that greatly boosted his already high profile. The album comes out this June through Rough Trade and his own label, Paul Kalkbrenner Music. He'll be supporting the album with live dates throughout the summer and fall, including appearances at Sonar, Melt! and Exit Festival.
Tracklist
01. Böxig Leise

07. Sagte Der Bär
08. Kruppzeug
09. Schmökelung
10. Der Breuzen
Rough Trade and Paul Kalkbrenner Music will release Icke Wieder on June 3rd, 2011.
RA [Resident Adviser] Review
A few weeks ago, I woke up with the melody from track one of Paul Kalkbrenner's Icke Wieder in my head. That's a remarkable feat considering I'd only heard the song once before. It's a statement which fairly summarises the German producer's output though. He's been around for ages—this is his seventh album—but it's his continued shift into catchiness which has seen him bestowed with rock star status. That, and a movie which appears to have been seen by every teen and 20-something in Germany (and parts of Europe).
Icke Wieder makes no attempt to rock the boat. Like Berlin Calling, it opens with a slow-winding guitar track and follows up with more overtly club-oriented material. In fact, the album's greatest weakness is sheer similarity to its predecessor. Percussion programming and samples seem to have been re-used on several occasions. The most obvious example is string embellished "Kleines Bubu," which employs the same hissing, piston-like hi-hat of 2008's "Train." Past that criticism though, there's not a great deal to dislike, at least for recently-joined fans.
Though overall he might play it a little safe, there's adequate variation in mood and intensity to hold interest, but not enough to reduce the whole listening experience to that of fragmented compilation. "Gutes Nitzwerk," for example, is driving and single-minded. "Der Breuzen" is filled with enough jazzy flourishes to impart light-heartedness despite its stomping kick drum, and the shunting claps and slow chords of "Des Stabes Reuse" provide a pleasing break halfway. As usual, there's concern for song structure and a measured, patient approach which sees elements eased to their conclusion rather than forced.
Where his compatriots' techno visions can encompass industrialism, futurism or sheer soulfulness, Kalkbrenner's is unique. It's about Berlin's rattling trains carrying thousands of merry partiers to and from clubs across the city, and bleary moments of emergence into sunlight. Perhaps people inherently pick up on this spirit, which is why Kalbrenner's music—including this album—will continue to be loved by the entire spectrum of electronic music listeners, and some outside of it.
06. Steffen Nehrig - Mouth Of The Canal (Original Mix) (The Split EP Part 1) [Two.Birds | TWOBIRDS007]
Life without electronic music is unimaginable for Steffen Nehrig. In the mid 90’s, at the age of 15, he grabs the first time to a MoodIISwing record, waking up his fascination for house music.
In the last 16 years he played more then 600 gigs in innumerable national and european clubs and managed more then 500 events at Monza Club Frankfurt. Since 2009 he’s co-founder, together with his long-standing business partner Pat Garvin aka null.eins, of Frankfurt-based label Two.Birds. Since the foundation, the label reaps great compliments by the international dj scene, releasing fine selected music from outstanding musicians.
He’s producing in cooperation with Uwe Giegler (Yapacc, Narcotic Synthax) and published his first tracks on labels such as Dirt Crew Recordings and Inclusion and now for the first time on Two.Birds.
Supported by: Robag Wruhme, Karotte, Seth Troxler, Troy Pierce, Phonique, Motorcitysoul, Martin Landsky, John Selway, Gregorythme, Oliver Huntemann, Jaumetic, Fra Soler, Enzo Caprioli, Kraushaar, Daniel.fx, Franksen, Crazy Sonic, Thomas Grün
The white 10” label strikes back ! BABA Q's SECRET CHICKEN INGREDIENTS 2 poulards (each 1,5 kg, carved into parts) 250 g chili sauce (American-style) 150 g ketchup 1/8 l cider vinegar 1/8 l maple syrup 2 tbsp butter 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 1 tbsp celery seeds 1 tbsp cayenne pepper 1/2 tbsp salt olive oil Melt the butter in a pot on medium-high heat. Add mustard, maple syrup, chili sauce, ketchup, vinegar, celery seeds, cayenne pepper and salt, mix well. Let it boil. Reduce the temperatur and let it simmer for another 20 minutes. Afterwards leave it to cool down. Arrange the chicken in a casserole and coat with the marinade. Cover it and let it chill overnight. Take it out of the fridge at least one hour before the BBQ. Blot the chicken dry and brush with olive oil. Preheat the grill and roast the chicken on medium-high heat at least for about 15 – 20 minutes on both sides until the skin is crispy brown. 07. Anja Schneider & And.Id - Imagination [Get Physical Music | Promo]
Mobilee owner Anja Schneider and And.Id made an exclusive production 'Imagination' for Heidi's 'Jackathon' mix CD, coming out soon on Get Physical.
And.Id [Mobilee | 20:20 Vision] is mobilee’s master of swung beats and live brass, characterising his textured and rhythmic productions as “body moving, and mind grooving.”
Born and bred in Thessaloniki, Greece, Andreas Dimitriadis (Ανδρέας Δημητριάδης) was raised on jazz. Heavily influenced from a young age by his musical surroundings – in the audiences of jazz performances, and absorbed in his father’s extensive record collection – he began studying music at the age of 10. He soon applied his training to a range of artistic outlets, jamming in local bands, producing tracks for freestyle groups and creating scores for short films.
In 2002, And.Id became involved with NON, the Greek artist’s collective responsible for the Reworks Electronic Music Festival and club nights throughout the country. The following year he received a highly coveted invitation to the Red Bull Music Academy in Cape Town, and shortly thereafter released EPs for Thinner Records and Ware. And.Id hit his stride in 2008, with “One Is Not Enough“, his mobilee debut that showcased both intricate production skills, and a unique integration of live components, the latter of which has lent an inimitable sound to his material.
The critically acclaimed “Sand on the Floor“ followed, as did “First Talk“ and “I Will Be There“, and in 2010 And.Id took his unique amalgam of electronics and live instrumentation to its furthest reaches, with his ambitious and celebrated installment for mobilee’s Back to Back compilation series. Alongside a disc of curated highlights from the label’s catalogue, he formed the And.Id and B.A.N.D. collective – consisting of Berklee College of Music graduates and seasoned studio musicians – for a second disc of live jazz interpretations of mobilee classics. Sebo K's anthem “Horizons,” Pan-Pot's lush, piano-led track “Faces,” and Anja Schneider's defining collaboration with Sebo K, “Rancho Relaxo” were all painstakingly re-recorded, arranged, and re-edited by And.Id and B.A.N.D. This year, as well as a new EP “Psychedelic Love“ on mobilee, And.Id had his first release on 2020 Vision “Need For Chicago“, and a track he made with Anja Scheider‚"Imagination", is featured on Heidi’s Jackathon Compilation on Get Physical Music.
