where i grew up in northeas ohio, edm wasnt big at all.....but when i moved to FLA in 1999 renaissance was the first edm cd i ever listen too....got to say i started with the best

The first ever was probably this cd my friend gave me... it just said "Beatz" on the cover... and the only track I remember was the one about "Robert Kirk's son dying of a drug overdose."

Then I mostly bought the following dj's mixes: Rabbit in the Moon. R-Fresh, Prophecy, Dj Sandy, Dj Baby Anne, Dj Icey.

Also whatever Keoki album had the "Go Speed Racer Go" track on it...

I think this was mine; or at the very least my first mix CD! I was so young and naive then: having not properly read the CD cover, I was disappointed that it didn't feature the whole tracks, unmixed. How things change... Might have to dig this out for nostalgia purposes.
