I caught a rough cut of this in 2D while in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago, and managed to attend the opening of the composer's new studio in Santa Monica (Trevor Morris). It's not a bad film, but the imagery speaks far louder than the scripting and the acting, which is unsurprising considering how the director Tarsem has always had an incredible eye for spectacle.

makes the three of us. The storyline was bleh at best. But from a casting perspective, I thought Mickey Rourke was one heck of a pick. but on the flip side, they picked Frieda Pinto? wtf.

                  Give it a 4/10

Just rented this last week and I have to say that the story was a bit weak. However, the costume and art design were A+ so it was actually entertaining from start to finish.

Much more violent and disturbing than I expected it to be, but then I realized it's by the same guy who directed The Cell.
