    Decksavers Presents... Geddes (Mulletover/Murmur)

DECKSAVERS returns for a summer special!!

After such a fantastic party with Glimpse in The Russian back in May, we were keen to develop the DECKSAVERS party into a full blown audio visual experience. We were hunting hard to find the perfect venue to afford us the space and technology to achieve this, and we struck upon a gem in Shoreditch - the Basing House. A beautifully presented venue with an underground feel, this place boasts a thunderous Funktion One sound system of which has to be heard to be believed. So who could we get to headline to absolutely take this place to the max?

No one other than Mulletover Head Honcho... GEDDES!!!!!

Geddes is one of the true pioneers of the London house scene. Among those ahead of the game when it came to the fragmentation of the super club and the dawn of a new warehouse era, Geddes and his mulletover party crew were integral in the rise of the underground and have helped shape the heart of its landscape and sound in the capital and beyond. When he started the now prolific mulletover events back in 2004, it was through grit and determination and an enduring love for exploring and championing the freshest talent and securing original spaces that Geddes became a figurehead in the evolution of a thriving house and techno scene. So much so that on top of a hectic schedule playing around the world, he has been asked to play the Space closing party in Ibiza this year.

Geddes cultivated a belief and desire to inject freshness into his surroundings and succeed he did. Now having celebrated mulletover’s 7th birthday, the party has gained unrivalled success and remains at the heart of the London scene. Attracting over 2000 people to their monthly staged events in rotating secret locations and hosting their own stages at festivals such as Lovebox, Glade, Garden Festival in Croatia, transporting revellers to boats, forests, beaches, lighthouses and warehouses across the world.

With an ever-evolving creativity and ability to move with the times, not to mention the support and love from a tight community of music fans and artists alike, the omnipresence of Geddes and his contribution to underground London may endure for many years to come and we are delighted to be part of this history at DECKSAVERS. It is rare to see Geddes in such an intimate environment in London so this will be an extra special moment for all involved in the night.

Residents Jack Brazzo and Birthday Boy Deegan are looking forward to taking the DECKSAVERS experience even further in these perfect new surroundings on such a perfect sound system, and they will be cracking out the standard techno/tech house beauties that are now expected at a DECKSAVERS event - but double the notch.

We also can't wait to welcome back Sergio Liguori aka W10 driving his thriving live set that got the whole place moving and shaking in Dalston last time around, and we are delighted to have Rob Kingdon opening up proceedings on the chilled side after his three way back to back session madness with Brazzo and Deegan at the end of the last party... We really can't wait for this one!!

Visuals once again will be developed and executed by the extremely talented Sinewave.

Friday 19th August - Be There

Should have gone to DECKSAVERS???!!! I think so!!
