Noice! - Episode 243 Microtrauma (Traum)

I love Fridays at the NOICE! headquarters. waking up and finding a killer set in your inbox made exclusively for your Podcast. that is the situation we have here. we are Proud to Present one of Traum's Rising Stars today. you may remember them from earlier this year when we featured them on the radio. Please join us in welcoming back: Microtrauma. In 1995 a simple tracker software aroused the interest of the two friends Daniel Päßler and Ricardo Linkeand so they decided to produce a few tracks. Both shared a common passion for all sorts of different musical styles which made their early productions very diverse. Through the many influences of artists from New Order and Depeche Mode to Massive Attack, The Prodigy, Moby and the various techno disciples of this multi-faceted time, the two of them produced everything they enjoyed, be it trip hop, electronica, breaks or techno. However, in 1999 the two of them went separate ways for reasons of diverging careers. They quickly lost touch with each other till the contact ceased completely. Yet both of them still wished to produce music. This is why they both went on being engaged with synthesizers, music software and studio technique and working on their own tracks. In 2003 coincidence brought them back together. The two friends met again at a small local electro party and soon realised that they still shared the same interest for electronic music as they did four years ago. After a few sessions in their domestic living room studios they decided to make more of their hobby and so they started renting their first studio in 2005. Microtrauma was born. In 2007 Microtrauma had its first release “Wake up“ on the Elected Tunes label. Their first own release “Collar EP” soon followed. Microtrauma has developed its own style in almost ten years of working and tinkering and from its many influences: melodic, dark, technoid and minimal. Tracklist: 01.
