After yet another amazing night in August, we are really excited to be returning to Bar Vinyl in Camden Town on Saturday 29th October 2011 for a rather spooky Halloween Fancy Dress special. So slap on your make up, hollow out some pumpkins and come down for a ghoulish night out with us! And with Bar Vinyl's specially extended 5am licence, there's no excuse for leaving the dancefloor early!
To mark the occasion, we have a very special headline guest DJ in the form of Vern, of Stretch & Vern/Reflekt fame. As one half of Stretch & Vern, Vern has been one of the most recognised names in global house music since they exploded onto the scene in 1996 with their worldwide hit 'I'm Alive'. As well as selling over half a million singles, 'I'm Alive' featured on Coca Cola advertising campaigns, was Radio 1 A-listed for over two months and has stayed on the airwaves ever since. Since then, their own edits of the likes of Radiohead and Kings of Leon have seen the boys name checked on the Radiohead website, and have taken their music into the hands of such respected DJs as Sasha, Digweed & Nick Warren - which is a testament to Stretch & Vern's versatility as producers.
Vern's energetic DJ sets have seen him play at the world's biggest clubs including Ministry of Sound, Manumission, Gatecrasher, Cream, and even the Playboy WMC party in Miami! His DJ style over the years has always been based around disco infused, cool funky house music. So expect groovy tunes that make you want to dance from Vern - we can't wait to hear him unleashed on the Nuestra Casa dancefloor!
Our second guest DJ is Loop Music head honcho Ben Clarke, hot on the heels of his blistering performance at the Nuestra Casa Boat Party Afterparty back in June. Skillfully utilising Ableton Live during his sets, Ben is a master of pretty much all the electronic genres and has consistently been producing stellar house, drum and bass, breaks and dubstep mixes for the brilliant Loop Music radio mix show.
Our final guest DJ is another Nuestra Casa favourite, Richie Walton. Hailing from Sunderland, Richie Walton has been making huge waves with his fantastically well received series of 'Seamless' DJ podcasts, and has also recently put in some red hot live performances at Sunderland's trendy Bar Justice. He consistently blends uplifting progressive, nu disco and deep house to devastating effect, so we are really excited to have him back behind the hallowed Bar Vinyl decks.
Joining Vern, Ben and Richie on the decks will be our irrepressible Nuestra Casa residents in the form of the disco-progressive, neo-house dynamic duo BroKen DJs, and the bouncy, tech-funk partnership of Oliver James & Cosmique.
Entry is FREE ALL NIGHT LONG so there really is no excuse not to :-)
