    D.DIGGLER

Andreas Muegge, born in 1975 in Hanau (a city near Frankfurt), developed his interest in music at the age of 3, mainly inspired by his father, who was a member of a well-known local Jazzband for many years. At three years old, he began to drum on his own first drum set.

At age 15 he had his first contact with electronic music. Records such as ìStakker Humanoidî, ìOrbitalî or ì808 Stateî and after visiting Frankfurts legendary Clubs like Dorian Gray, Omen and various events such as ìMaydayî and ìLoveparadeî (1990/91/92), his interest and fascination to produce electronic music increased steadily. Briefly after the purchase of two Technics, he scratched together last savings, sold his drumset and begun to buy piece by piece midi-equipment in order to train to work with this nevertheless for the beginning much complicated subject like Sampler, Synthesizers, Midi and Mixer. After practicing for many years, and DJing in the parental house, he met Christopher (Julian) Smith for the first time, who had staged several events at that time in Hanau and made the 1st place in entering a Malboro DJ contest.

1994 there were first parties: ìMygge vs. Smithî in various outlying buildings around and in Hanau. Legendary was the party in the former ìOrangerieî in the ìPhilipsruhe Castleî, that place, where today the ìLandesgartenschauî took place. 800 guests had come, and although the parties were always illegal, there were only rarely serious problems with the police. Those followed many small and large parties, the ìmusicenforcementî- team organised together. Most well-known was the tunnel-party-series (1995-2002) in one of Hanau„s motorway underpasses, which counted up to 900 visitors.

Andreas had first ìofficialî gigs in the Club ìOstparkstrasseî in Frankfurt. Among others he played with Heiko Laux and Laurent Garnier. Gigs in the ìMTWî in Offenbach, various radio appearances and one evening in the U-bar of the ìU60311î followed. Over the years Andreas developed its own style, DJing and also his productions (at that time not yet published) always provided with a certain musical marking. The structure, the warmth of similar sounds and the emotions play a basic role until present.

In 1997, as a result of record purchases in Frankfurt/Hanau„s ìFreebaseî, he became acquainted with Olaf Zern, the owner of Freebase. Olaf looked for local acts for his new label ìRaum...Musikî. After he had heard through batch tapes, he found 4 suitable tracks. The track ìBoogiemonsterî became immediately a small hit and HR XXL, a local radio station, took it up for airplay-rotation. Short time later he was taken up to Sven V‰th„s booking agency ìCocoonî. Not least owing to co-operation with Pauli Steinbach.

ìD.Digglerî was the starting signal. The name, inspired by the trashy movie ìBoogie Nightsî, was well-known rapidly and you could find many of his tracks in various DJ-Charts and playlists of famous DJs. Until today he published innumerable 12" on different labels, incl. Episode, Planet Vision, Raum...Musik, Resopal, Force Inc. etc, as well as several remixes. After 2 successful longplayers, his last one, ìSounds Fictionî appeared in the autumn 2002. Once again a mixture of House, Techno, Dub and Minimalism.

There are many 12î Releases since this time and many gigs around Europe and the USA. The long awaited new album ìEM.Pulseî was released in 2006/2007 with Remixes from Dapayk, Pascal Feos, Johannes Heil and Robag Whrume on Resopal Schallware. A lot of new stuff will be released in late 2008 and 2009 in cooperation with ìLevelNonZeroî, ìMaschineî, ìResopal Schallwareî and othersÖ

    KOLLEKTIV TRUMSTRASSE

When Nico and Christian of Kollektiv Turmstrasse start working the crowd, itís like somebody dumping a bucket of energy on the dance floor. For more then ten years now, these two have spread their good vibes from Reykjavik to Moscow and further to Tokyo with no plans of slowing down. Some call the duo Berlinës new wonder-boys, but actually they come from a small town on the Baltic Sea, and have been residing in Hamburg for some time now.

Kollektiv Turmstrasse draws a lot of influence from the people around them, so living in Hamburg has greatly influenced their music. However, these guys canët be easily classified: Kollektiv Turmstrasse makes music for the moment and for eternity, for indoors and for open air, for the soul and for the dancefloor, for you and for me. Along with releases on Connaisseur, Diynamic, Cocoon and Ostwind, Kollektiv Turmstrasse has also been working on their very own label Musik Gewinnt Freunde, which they started in 2006.

With their big tunes "Tristesse" and "Grillen im Park", the guys had already played themselves into the hearts of their permanently growing fanbase. However, their big breakthrough came in 2009, with the "Kollektiv Turmstrasse Let Freedom Ring Rmx" for Federleichtës "On The Streets".

In November 2010, the duo presented their long-awaited first longplayer "Rebellion der Tr‰umer" (Rebellion Of The Dreamers), which came out on Connaisseur Recordings. On this album they reflect their progress of the last years and another great site of what they are doing. A lot of love, time and passion left their marks on that album for it to reach your heart and head and to take you on a musical journey.

Furthermore, Kollektiv Turmstrasse released remixes of "Rebellion der Tr‰umer" by Jimpster and Robag Wruhme on Connaisseur Recordings in June 2011.
