Round 3! The third installment of the Battle Of The Remixers series comes in the form of a lost gem – Champagne’s ‘My Love Is Right’, which was a huge hit in Europe.
Featuring the vocal talents of Shana Douglas, ‘My Love Is Right’ is pure late-eighties pop funk – ripe for a 2011 rework!
The Sharp Boys have been in the business for years, and have pulled off, here, the perfect mix of this piano / vocal classic. Their remix takes the track into skankin’, bouncy tech-house territory, the sort of tune that would not be out of place in a Fatboy Slim set.
And Calvertron returns for another bout, taking a break from his recent journey into dubstep, to deliver a knockout blow with an energy-packed electro-fidget remix.
For fans of the original, also included is a classy remaster of the original 12” version of the track, previously unavailable digitally.
