For Occams Razor, Harvey delves heavily into an old school rave sound, with syncopated hi-hats and shakers driving the rhythm and jumping piano chords set against a rolling, rumbling bass line. Second track Work it similarly loses none of its early house credentials, with a deep, full, and aggressive kick, repetitive chords, pad swells and synth stabs. Harvey Mckay demonstrates with Occams Razor a new take on house music with a controlled, abrasive, and relentless sound, fully showcasing his unique style of production. www.soma20.tv
