I see your point. I´ve been to Panorama Bar many times and know how it is. I agree that the sound there is more mellow than at Berghain.
But still, the Berlin scene in general doesn´t care for the sound we all love on this board. Being from Germany myself, I know what I´m talking about. Yes, there are DJs like Dixon playing hypnotic sound. But I feel they´re the exception. Go to any of the cool Berlin clubs and listen to the type of records DJs are playing. I don´t want to start labelling EDM genres, but anyway, it´s not the stuff Sasha, Digweed, Howells etc. play.
And there must be a reason why Sasha´s last gig in Berlin was back in 2004 at Casino during his Involver 1 tour (that night was great, btw)...this is why I said I´m curious to see how he played.soundcloud.com/deeve1Comment

German scene, in general, prefers german minimal/techno/experimental artists, there are only few foreign names who go and play there in clubs on regular basis (like James Holden). Digweed played in Berlin for the first time just last year and many other progressive/tech house names never played there. I know that Warren played in Munich last year too Hernan played there just once 5-6 years ago.
