So, my girl's mom came into town for the weekend and they were going to get started looking for wedding things so I decided to take the opportunity to come up to Jacksonville to hang out with a good buddy of mine. Well, as it turns out Habersham & Numinous were scheduled to be at Eclate as part of Proton's weekly.
3 words come to mind about their show last night: In-Fucking-Credible! If you've not been fortunate enough to catch these guys out live then you are definitely missing out. When we got there, one of the residents (Justin K) was laying down the perfect warmup set. At about 1230, Damon (Habersham) took over, and he and Brett (Numinous) tag teamed for a good 3 hours. At 3am the lights went on and we were all supposed to head over to the afterparty, but Damon could not stop laying stuff down. We hung for another 30 mins or so and then moved on.
I wasn't able to spot very much all night, but did recognize: Buc Naztee - DEV8, Quadsquad - The Sound (Habersham Mix), a remix of 'Electric Slide', and a Switch Remix of Audio Bullys. What I can tell you though is that it was 3 hours of the darkest, filthiest music I've ever heard out live. So if you like it rich with darkness then I definitely recommend going out and seeing these guys live. Both are performing several times while in Miami and I wouldn't miss them again for the world.
Cheers.
