Btw, Joris Voorn's Balance is still one of my favs, don't care how many tracks etc you got in there, if you want to mix as many, you better mix it bloody well.

Oh. My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.
I think it has some moments going by individual tracks/mashups, but on the whole the flow felt a bit random in some spots, and some tracks like 7-8 on CD 1 was completely off for me. Certainly doesn't compare to Saiz or even Voorn.

Well different strokes for different folks. I couldn´t get through half of Saiz´s one, always managed to get me in a bad mood.
Yeah, I mean, is it even fair to compare both? If you´re into the more proggy and melodic stuff, and are not much of a tech-head, you´ll always prefer the one by Saiz.
Personally, I´ve become really bored with it, but that doesn´t mean I think it´s a bad mix (the Saiz one), I think it´s actually good (not extraordinary, mind), but I just have to put on a different hat to hear it for what it is, I guess, because to me it´s mostly comprised of a sound that I´ve become quite bored with...

This is not to say that music is good or bad. But I would rather hear a good mix, not the number of tracks and samples read, and edit it. If it is bad, despite all the mixing, it is still bad.
