    George Orwell's 1984

    Has anybody read this book?

Its the best book i've ever read, EVER. I think it needs to be turned into a movie, directed by somebody who can pull it off. I don't know who though, but it HAS to be turned into a movie.

Its the ultimate theory on what could happen to america given the way the present government is cutting off the peoples freedoms etc and are watching their own people closely, instead of watching the terrorists. hell it even goes to say that the terrorists aren't real and were created for the party in the book to have a public enemy #1.

    So who's read it?

Great Book. Probably one of my all-time favorite books. Actually I had to read this for Junior yr Honors English in High School. If you have not read this book before. Read it.

Awesome book IMO.Every time I read it I discover something new that Orwell has put in.He was one clever guy.The section when Winston is reading the forbidden diary is genius - how orwell persuades us that war is good etc is mindblowing.

                Big brother is watching you!

                Great book..

If you liked that book, I would reccommend Brave new world by Aldous Huxley.

                Another anti utopia book..

Also, just finished The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.. This is probably my favorite book of all time

That's real cool, because the movie was ace.

I think I was assigned 1984 in Grade 12 English. It was very good. The movie follows the book very closely. In fact, it's probably the closest adaptation I have ever seen, with the 1st Harry Potter a close second.

Great book, I've read it several times.

Count of Monty Cristo, another top notch book i'm currently reading.
