James Zabiela DJ Skills Competition - Win A Set At We Love - Space Ibiza 2012
Are you the next big thing? Can you cut it, mix it and scratch it up with the best of them? If so James Zabiela and Tid:Pro is looking for you!
In association with The Warehuose Project, Air Amsterdam and We Love, We're offering you the chance to win a set at Space in Ibiza for We love in 2012.
James Zabiela is credited with being one of the worlds greatest deck technicians and started his own career by winning a DJ competition, testament to the fact that this type of competition does unearth some great talent and can help to start long careers in the industry.
James says :
"I was given a great opportunity once upon a time with a DJ competition and it was an important stepping stone in forging a career doing something I truly love. Being able to help offer that same stepping stone to someone else is incredibly satisfying. Good luck to all those who enter"
If you think you have the skills to impress then read on to find out how you can take part in our heats in Amsterdam & London to make your way to the final at The Warehouse Project - Manchester in December.
How To Enter
Click the 'Enter' button at the bottom of this page to receive your information pack and the artwork you will require.
Stage 1 - Online Submission of your mix
Entrants will be required to upload a 20 minute mix, showcasing their talents to their Mixcloud account.
You must upload with the competition artwork found in your information pack and include the tag 'James Zabiela & Tid:Pro DJ Skills Competition'
Include another tag of either 'Amsterdam' or 'London' to show which heat you are interested in being selected for.
The heats will be held at:
Air - Amsterdam - Saturday 22nd October
East Village - London - Wednesday 30th November
The Amsterdam Submission closing date is Midnight 16th October 2011
The London Submission closing date is Midnight 20th November 2011
Publish your mix and share with your friends via social networks to get feedback.
Bonus points will be awarded to anyone including their own productions in the mix.
Within 48hrs of the submission close date for each heat, winners will receive a message to invite them to attend the heat stage.
Stage 2 - The Heats
If you are lucky enough to be selected to attend heat stages you will need to perform a 10 minute set displaying your talents to our judges in a live club environment.
James is looking for someone who is able to use and abuse the technology available to todays DJ to mash up the mix.
The Final
Winners selected from each heat will go on to the final hosted by The Warehouse Project - Manchester in December.
James Zabiela himself will be judging finalists on a 20 minute set and is looking for the highest standard to perform at We love at Space in Ibiza summer 2012, graced this summer by acts like James Zabiela, Aphex Twin, Fatboy Slim, 2manydjs & Groove Armada.

- You may enter for both heats - a different mix must be submitted for each
- No travel or accommodation is offered, you are responsable for covering all costs of attending the events
