As the DJM-900 Nexus is a very good mixer with an upgraded 8in/8out audio interface and since you would prefer to switch to A&H, why not upgrading to the already trusted and reliable solution (Xone:4D) that offers you EVERYTHING in the package?

I am the owner of a DJM-2000 and an Xone:4D and I am happy with both of them (twice happier with my 4D because I paid almost half the price of the DJM-2000 to get it and it really serves me well so far).

First thing..... Allen & Heath is the only brand for me. So whatever your budget, I suggest you find an A&H to fit the bill.

I just purchased the Xone DB4 about a month ago and cannot begin to tell you how insane this mixer is. The sound quality is excellent, as expected from A&H.... and the FX are sick. They sound so much better than FX on anything else I've ever used. Plus you can route any source to any channel, or all channels at once... then play a different effect on each. So much creative possibility it will astonish you.

If you can't afford the DB4 ($2720 USD), then the DB2 should be the second option. ($1520 USD) It's the same general design but with only 2 FX processors instead of 4.

Seriously, just get one of the DB series mixers and you will be blown away. They are way ahead of the game compared to everything else.

I would like to operate a db4 in the near future.
How are the mixer preamps on the phono inputs compared to other mixers (like Pioneer, Ecler or Rodec for example)?
What about the midi functionality and assignable buttons for extra features?
