well it wasn't 'real' news until a few hundred of them decided to storm the brooklyn bridge the other day and were consequently arrested for being menaces to society.
in all fairness to the occupywallstreet group, because i've been following what they've been doing for almost a month at this point, they made a decent attempt to rally leftist groups to their cause with some minor success (until the mass arrests, that is). but, on the other hand, you don't strike me as a person who stays up-to-the-minute with news across the planet (not that there's anything wrong with that) so maybe that's why you haven't heard of it? this group really did not make it beyond the blogosphere or any alternative media camps until basically the last week at the very earliest...and only in the past few days did they finally get coverage on major networks. i dunno what to say (or, i could say, "major news outlets refused to cover this group because they are owned by corporations who want the status quo and want to squash free speech ad nauseum")
