New boxset is out here, no unreleased material, questionable packaging, meh or nice remasters depending on which side you're on.

Most of them are already available in audiophile versions, so pricey it hurts my brain.

what format are they? they need to re-release there albums on vinyl....only one i see that is going to be rereleased is the wall and wish u were here.

The remasters? Dark Side has a 180 gr vinyl version too that it's already available, but there are far better versions of DSOTM.

I really don't know if a complete vinyl version of the Discovery Box is in the works, I've been listening to the cd box in the past few days and the differences are minimal, they simply updated the way they sound (louder) while preserving the EXACT dynamic range.

So if you can still find Oh, By The Way under 100 pounds (beautiful mini-lp sleeves), get it. If a vinyl reprint of More is sold for 30 pounds, get yourself a 70's NM print of the original .

The multi-tracked editions are a different story, I haven't heard them yet, I've read good reviews for the PCM hi-def versions but most fans still believe that the sacd released a few years ago is still the best.

That said, the price of the "Immersion" boxsets is too high, since they included lots of useless gadgets (coasters, a scarf??).
