Mercuryserver Downtempo

I was wondering if ms would set up a downtempo version of their dance music site. There aren't any good community sites for downtempo music and ms already has a great user base that already might listen to downtempo music.

It'd be cool to be able to submit downtempo mixes and just share news etc.

Anyone agree? :P

Maybe we could just start with a downtempo forum and see how things go and if things go fine you guys could expand it, kinda like mercurypromote and the other sister sites.

are you referring to setting up forums by genre's ? that would be a pain in the ass to implement after 130,000 posts and esp even more to setup a new forum, I dont think anyone will sign up to anything new (atleast until the universal registration mod is ready) :wink:

just a universal Mercury sites registration thing, not really sure about passport cause I havent used it as much

No encryption, i'm referring to a completely new category of music that ms could offer, or atleast its members that follow the downtempo scene could supply mixes.

like right now you guys have kiss100 mixes and your specials, if we could just have a downtempo section that could have specials from proton radios downtempo shows this site would be the ultimate.

As far as I know, Proton doesn't make very many of its mixes available. If the host of a show chooses to (eg: Elite Force, Angus Robinson, Brian Ffar, etc) he or she makes their show available on their own. If you'd like to share some downtempo sets you could always do so in the Member Sets area.

I got a suggestion why don't you setup one. Then try to recruit people from ms to join ur new cool forum. It might work. Bad thing is to many of us r addicted to posting on MS.
