I am going to couple of Greathful Dead shows (they are now called Further) and I was wondering if some locals can give me some adivce on some good spots that might have some house music playing. I will be there next week (the 8th 9th, and 10th). I used to live there for a while, but never really got a feel for the scene... i've been to Pacha once, Boris was playing and that wasn't all that good..
Thanks all! I will probably end up checking out all the places you recommended!!

glad to see there are a few others on here that are Furthur fans
They are very good! I went to two shows in LA and two shows in Monterey last month.. good times! I mean.. the way they transition from song to song is amazing. I friend of mine is a huge fan of theirs(what is known as a dead head), and last year I managed to get him out to a Digweed show in SF and he loved it, and after that he kept telling me that it is very much like a dead show,, and i was like wtf man, that doesn't make any sense, but then I went to one show and I've been hooked since. Great lyrics too..
here is a short vid I made from the show in Monterey. Can't wait for madison square garden
a powerful and insane mothership that occasionally comes commanded by the real ones .. then suck us and makes us appear in the most magical of all lands

Oh. My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

Nice one! Glad you stopped in and heard some quality music. I've been there once on a nondescript night and had a great time. Luke Fair has played there a few times. If you are interested check out the P&R section this board and you'll find the recordings.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
