Should I stay or should I go?

For my high school graduation the school is busing all the seniors to an actual dance club where we'll be partying from like 10pm-5am or something like that. Anyway, I don't know if I should go because I'm afraid, instead of having the resident DJ or whoever it is that spins electronic music, that they'll bring in some cheesy bar mitzvah and wedding DJ to play. So my question is, do you guys think I should still go despite how bad the music could potentially be? Keep in mind I'll be in there for 7 hours, and I can barely stand listening to pop music :P

I wouldn't go unless I had a flask of hard liquor... otherwise it'll be a guaranteed horrible time. You know there won't be any good electronic, unless you like Darude and Alice DJ

Amen kiddo, I hear ya, but last year I was at spirit and I looked around me and there were tons of prom kids so to speak, and then I realized no matter how fucked up I got, or what corner I tried to dance in.... My twilo was a fucking Junior Prom, so you might luck out on that part, but any club that has high school kids at it had better not be charging a cover and have an open bar for anyone who sticks around of age (you seem cool, but as I remember, most people in HS are dumbfucks). Teen angst superiority/attitude on the dancefloor is not a combo I can stay non-violent in the prescence of ever again... u must be 18 soon, you'll be ok. You can be "too cool" for your field trip, and do your own thing with real friends.... save yourself the anguish.

bro go to your prom and enjoy your high school years..the reality is that they will never come back.. high school was the funnest time i can remember ... EDM will not dissapear , high school will!..go get a cute girls, dance to some cheese, make out , have fun !!... you only live once!!!!!!!

go there and have some fun with your friends... If you can't have fun regardless of where you are at 17, 18... you did something wrong with your teen years

Well you guys do make a good case that I should probably go. Plus I just read the mailing for it and it says there'll be movies and sumo wrestling as well, so it can't be all that bad.

I'm gonna be tired as fuck though because the party ends at 5:30 a.m. and I have job training at 9:00 a.m. :P

Yeah, but before the party I have graduation at 6pm and before that a full day of graduation practice. I am definitely going to be tired :P

Oh, come on. Quit whining... :wink: Isn't graduation supposed to be fun? And it's once in a lifetime.

Oh and btw here in Slovenia most of the people get dead drunk for their graduation, (the age limit for serving alcohol is 18 ), so most of the people don't usually care what kind of music is the DJ playing.

for my high school graduation, "grad night", our school bussed us to Disney World.......It was the shit.......a group of us dropped acid and had a blast the whole time....it was from like 9 at night till like 5 in the morning....they closed the park down to everyone except graduating seniors from the state of Florida........trippin there was the best, lol, except for when we had to talk to the chaparones, lol..that was crazy.........GO DuDE!! youll have a good time, trust me

even if you dont have a good time, you can at least say that you did it when you get older, instead of saying that you wish you would have done it
