Satoshi @ Filter 14 in NYC was always a fun night. Haven't heard any recent stuff from him though. Looking foward to hearing this......

I went to a few of those too, hector good, satoshi live has never "done it" for me, but I like his productions I must say. Last i heard him was at spirit last summer, great build up by hector (amazing) and then satoshi YAWN...

I also like Hector more than Satoshi in terms of DJing.

Yeah, it was pretty funny I started going to those filter parties for Satoshi, but Hector kept bringing me back

I did just see him about a month ago at a tsunami fundraiser and he was sick as could be and still managed to play a decent set. Satoshi's great live, but only when he really gets into it. He's also quite a funny crazy partyer when he gets a few down!

Re: New Satoshi Tomiie Album Out Soon

                    From Satoshi's website:

                    Production update: 03/07/2004
Satoshi Tomiie is releasing two compilation albums on SAW.Recordings respectively titled "ES" & "ES-B" with the first one dropping in May 2005. For Satoshi, the first album 'ES' represents what he thinks what House Music is = 'Electronic Soul' music and is also the initials for Satoshi and the SAW label.
The one disc mix will present a snapshot of Satoshi's set in a nightclub and will include tracks licensed from other labels as well as original SAW records. Look for the tracklisting to be announced here in April.

The second album 'ES-B' can be expected in July 2005. Its inspiration is drawn by Satoshi's summer DJ set in the beautiful setting at the white isle Ibiza's famed Caf・Mambo. It'll be a deep, funky, sexy mix with a touch of techy beats all made for the summer. If you've ever been there, you know the atmosphere is pure magic.

Re: New Satoshi Tomiie Album Out Soon

Finally!!! I was thinking he is not making any compilations anymore.

Cant forget his NuBreed and sets from MOS and Kiss.

Have seen him once in US (Ohio) last year, amaizing energetic prog house music he played.
Its like she's cast a spell....I wish I knew how to break it!!

His Nubreed is one of the best albums I've ever heard... hopefully this one makes the cut

Loved the NuBreed CD; in my review of it I described it as "big sounds for a small room; epic yet still intimate". One of the last great progressive house compilations before prog went into that period of really dreary, boring morass

I've always loved Satoshi...I was wondering where he had been. His SAW radio shows on XM are always nice. Definitely looking forward to this one.
