Quick of the mark as ever Dubmetrical have wasted no time whatsoever in gracing the scene with yet more seductive sounds once again demonstrating the labels willingness to push the boundaries forward while displaying absolute consistency to serve up high quality, variety and value.
Coming of the back of featuring on the latest Renaissance compilation Cumiks open proceedings with ‘Liquefield’, if you’ve been following Dubmetricals rise in ascendancy Cumiks latest offering will come as no surprise. A rich deep bassline with atmospherical synth’s and bleepy lead riff drive this floaty track along further enhancing their reputation. John Smthg keeps the ball rolling with his third appearance on Dubmetrical ‘Silence Radio’ again has flavoursome synth lines constructed around a tuff reverbing bassline, the track builds to a massive acid influenced break down then flies into a solid consistent roll not giving up until the track ends.
Digipulation are the first of two artists to make their debut on this EP with ‘Exterieur’ a definite shift in style from the first two tracks, a more Techy feel with a solid drum pattern giving no let up this high energy piece gives plenty of options and shows ‘Dubmetricals’ versatility in all its glory once again unearthing top quality new artists. The EP closes with the second of the debutants this time stepping up to the plate is ‘Inspired’ with a tune titled ‘Troval’ this has a more dubby feel with a slight tinge of prog, constantly building and evolving with beautiful textures and layers this track has to be the surprise package of the whole EP a sure fire winner if your looking for something a little edgy.
In the first of a new series for ‘Dubmetrical’ the various artist EP once again reflects the labels quality, delivering variety and excellence all expertly packaged under Daniel Mehes’ watchful eye and superior knowledge and ability to seek out and find the very best new electronic musicians.
