I heard this rumor that record labels send mp3 files and not the original wave files to stores such as beatport. So can you really trust digital stores like beatport when they claim to sell you the original "untouched" WAV files. Could it be that they just encode the mp3 files back to wave and sell you that? we all know that once you encode a track to mp3 you dont get back the lost quality even if you encode it back to wav. Of course this applies only to stores that also sell in WAV format like beatport.
In other words, how can you be completely sure that what you get is an "unprocessed" WAV file and not some re-encoded mp3 file?
