This coming from a bipartisan sucker? please.

RP's domestic policy is good. I'd rather build up a strong military at home rather than spread our military thin across the world. His medical policies, however, are absolute crap. On fiscal policy, he's pretty good, though I don't believe free market economics, or rather, Austrian economics is the greatest. The best is to have a healthy mix of both capitalistic and socialistic policies.

Either way, 300,000,000 people in the US and we can't come up with quality republican or democratic candidates. It goes to show that politics in our country is a joke. I will give it to repubs though. 2016 will be strong for them because it's likely Christie or Jindal would run, maybe even as a combo. It would demolish any democratic nominations.

Republicans...ha ha ha ha ha what a joke. However, I do like Ron Paul compared to any other Republican attempting to make a go of it.

Out of the list, Ron Paul is the only legit candidate...whether or not you agree with what he has to say on everything.

Good call...Ron Paul is the first candidate (that I can recall) in striking distance to actually heed his warning about the military industrial complex. Not so kooky, IMO.

Ron Paul's "kooky" clarifications regarding Israel financial aid: http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/p...2/07/id/420247

-America should be a friend of Israel, but not her "master".
-Aid to Israel actually hurts it.
-We give more aid to Israel's enemies than Israel, stop giving foreign aid to all countries.
-Paul was one of the few Congressmen in 1981 who defended Israel's strike against Iraqi nuclear development.
-We should share intelligence with Israel, not undermine their military edge in the region, stop interfering with their goals, and let them be sovereign as they deserve.
Now this kind of policy advancement is more deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize than anything O'Commie has done in the past 3 years he's illegally occupied the WH.

Re: Ron Paul is a kook

The core principles of Ron Paul's domestic platform have some interesting ideas. But for the most part, he gets quoted on a lot more of his extreme comments - which he really shouldn't be saying in public in the first place if he actually wants a shot at being president. He's pretty savvy politically, except when it comes to running for president. But I do admire a guy that sticks to his principals even when the principal he's defending is unpopular.

His foreign policy borders on being completely fucked - but not to be unexpected with it comes to the bandwagon hoppers that consider themselves Libertarian, not really understanding what it means.

I'm just kind of surprised that the Republicans keep him around - sure they have some common philosophical ground, but a lot of his social orientations are the complete opposite of what the Republican base stands for.
