Still first and foremost a house DJ, Dixon is one of the best you can get. Probably kept from a professional career in football by an injury, he stumbled across the wonderful world of underground dance music in anything-goes-cause-the-wall-just-came-down Berlin and studied the craft of a discjockey with the sincerity of a top athlete. All of that led Dixon from seminal nightclubs like E-Werk, Tresor and WMF to his symbiotic relationship with Jazzanova and Sonar Kollektiv, doing edits and remixes, running Wahoo with Georg Levin, a sandwich shop and a monthly 'Innercity' party at infamous Weekend Club which was one of the most talked about parties in Berlin at its time. Driven by his musical friendship with Âme and A&R-ing their future classic 'Rej', Dixon moved on to new horizons with the Innervisions imprint, joint ventures with the aforementioned duo and Henrik Schwarz, as well as being the go-to guy for ambitious mix-CDs. His efforts for the 'Body Language' series, Live at Robert Johnson or his own IV outlet are the stuff of legend. Oh, and he is the best dressed chicken in town.
