    iTunes Match

    So, which of you electronic heads are using iTunes Match? Let's hear your gripes, bitches and moans. Or, if you actually like it

    Personally, I love it even if it means a 256 bit rate. I've got my downloads from Beatport and any other EDM service on my iPad, MacBook Air, iPhone and Apple TV, everywhere.

    For those not in the know, here's Walt Mossberg's take on the service:

    but once its in the apple cloud - you cant take it onto any other non apple product (that is my understanding);

    so its DRM in another form.

      Why would Apple want you to use their cloud on other devices?

            Why would I want to use it? They can match my Beatport folders, really? My collection of flacs and hi-res files and vinyl rips? I bet they can match pop singers and classic rock alright, but I don't find that very useful.

              Why would you want the match versus the upload? Do you really care whether the track is downloaded or not?

              I've got a shitload of Beatport tracks and while most of them were uploaded it doesn't bother me one bit. I buy my Mac at work and I'm able to download the same track from the same playlist at home or on my iPhone. Brilliant.

                Bleh. I'm not paying an annual recurring fee to scan my music. One time fee? Yeah probably. Also it has a max song limit it will scan too. It's high at like 10k songs or something, but it is still a limit.

                I'd like to see how smart the algo is also. I'd pay for a better rate to store my music in S3 if that were possible. I'd love to put my music there and keep it sync'd offsite, but it would cost me like 40$/month currently.
