Look I've had an interesting upbringing about religion. A conservative catholic whom is my mother and a liberated atheist, which can be said about my father. To sum up what i see about religion:
Pros: Enhances ones ethical and moral beliefs in an individual, this is important in young children especially.
Cons: Political, and Financial disbelief The Vatican city for example. Wars. violence, abuse, degradation of women? Still a big WTF with all these issues.

I am a kind of agnostic/athiest. I dont think there is a god as there is no evidence for one, but if any convincing evidence ever came up I would be prepared to change my mind.motherloverComment

I find it so very interesting that Hitchens himself was fairly civil towards religious people, and took a more intellectual view of this debate, whereas the johnny-come-lately atheists are complete dickwads to anyone having the least bit of reverence for a deity.
