Sasha is one of the world’s most innovative icons in the electronic genre and a central figure in revolutionizing America’s perception of electronic dance music. He has remixed the likes of Madonna and The Chemical Brothers. His remix of Felix da Housecat’s “Watching Cars Go By” earned him a Grammy nomination in 2004. He has released two Global Underground mixes; Global Underground 009: San Francisco and Global Underground 013: Ibiza. In 2000, he was voted #1 DJ in the world in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs Poll. He also held one of the most memorable residencies at New York City’s beloved venue Twilo along with John Digweed. It’s fair to say Sasha has made quite an impact on the electronic dance music scene and its followers. He is revered as a godfather of the dance music community and you'd be hard-pressed to find an EDM fan over the age of 25 who didn't cut their teeth on Sasha's earlier body of work, from his collaborations with John Digweed in the Renaissance days of the 90's up to his much-celebrated artist album "Airdrawndagger" in 2002. Throughout his illustrious career, Sasha has earned the respect of both his peers and his fans resulting in a status that is as close to royalty as the EDM scene will ever get. He is, quite simply, a legend. Sasha returns to the Big Apple along with New York City’s very own and Blk Market Membership residents Taimur + Fahad. Jump start your President’s Day Weekend function at Cielo - Sunday, February 19th.

Sasha did an interview right before his gig last night at Cielo
Your ultimate guide to New York for tourists and locals alike. Discover superb restaurants, amazing bars, great things to do and cool events in NYC.

He mentioned that he was going to road test a WHOLE lot of stuff, including collaborations with James Teej, early versions of Involver 3 tracks, and upcoming releases on Last Night on Earth.

For those of you that went, how the fuck was it?! Sounds like an amazing glimpse into this year for Sasha.
