            05. Carlos Fox - Magic Tears (Silinder Remix) [OLD SQL Recordings | Promo]

            Part 2:

            01. Yunus Güvenen - Tides [unreleased]
            02. Nick Stoynoff – Brandenburg (Berlin Dream EP) [Proton Music | PROTON164]

            04. Verve – Elevate [Lowbit Records | LBR:065]

            Release Notes:

            01. Piotr Bejnar - Rainbow Pills (Yapacc Remix) (Cracow Flight EP) [Mo's Ferry Productions | MFP059]

Piotr Bejnar might still look like a freshman on the Mo's Ferry label, but he convinced us with talent, devotion and a fascinating drive when performing his music live on stage. Look up his name on Youtube and you'll know why... One year after his surprising debut with the digital 3-tracker „Janusz EP“, this follow up will also be released on vinyl. For Piotr Bejnar the „Cracow Fight“ is not only a platform to present himself. He welcomes his friend and producer Jackname Trouble on board and finishes the 4-tracker with two excellent remixes. Yapacc and Patlac are definitely no unknown entities. The two German producers are highly acclaimed for their own releases and remixed the tracks with great respect to the originals.

            Released by: Mo's Ferry Prod.
            Release/catalogue number: MFP059
            Release date: Feb 6, 2012

            The label:

Berlin based Mo’s Ferry Prod. officially exists since mid 2001. But that's not the real beginning of it all. This was more like in the early 90s when todays label owners Niklas Worgt and Jan Langhammer ran into each other in school. Anyway, the release date of the first and real "mfp" vinyl is a perfect joint starting point.

The music of Mo's Ferry Prod. can be perfectly described by the words of a well-respected colleague: "This music offers a way out of the one-way street regarding the groan of minimal techno. Mo's Ferry releases are uncomfortable, dodgy, angular, groany and self-containt - to this day. No going back to the big ingredient range of the last 15 years of techno and house, no electro thingumbob, and of course no whatsoever clash" (Mathias Schaffhaeuser / Beam).

Well, here's nothing much to add, apart from... By now, the label has its standing and the release policy still follows the more inconvenient way. It's not acceptable constantly exhausting the standards and hypes. What about distinction and variety? For other musical playgrounds the Mo's Ferry sub-labels 'fenou' (cute minimal electronica) and 'rrygular' (minimal techno) were created in 2005. And that's it... that's the way how to search and find their standing in the world of the electronic music biz.

            02. Miusha & Poison Pro - Alien (Kobana Remix) [Proton Music | PROTON0166]

Artist(s) // Poison Pro, Miusha - Alien (Fiord, Kobana Mixes)
            Genre // Techno,Prog-House,

            Release Date // Feb 21 2012

Label // Proton Music

A1. Poison Pro, Miusha - Alien (Kobana Remix)

B1. Poison Pro, Miusha - Alien (Fiord Remix)

Poison Pro is a Russian based producer/DJ that signed to Proton Music in 2011 with Alien , a stand-out vocal single featuring a sophisticated, sultry performance from Miusha. Remixes are in now from the prolific Polish progressive sensation Kobana, an established leader on Jay Epoch's Particles label, now making his solo Proton Music debut alongside Fiord -- the New Zealand outfit consisting of brothers Hayden and Barton Strom who have become increasingly sought after thanks to their immensely successful DJ mixes and productions, including their remix of Generic by Cora Novoa which helped launch the Mesmeric label last year. Both remixes are juggernauts!

Directed by Jay Epoch, Mastered by Kobana, Cid Inc, Design by Royal Sapien

Kobana aka Filip Kaczmarek from Poland– not many artists can be quickly recognised after just a few musical notes. Kobana is definitely one of them thanks to his unique production style. His signature is enclosed in amazing percussion and synth lines, which work together creating synergistic effect. As one of the journalists has put it: “they pop up together so well…”.

            http://soundcloud.com/kobana/tracks

Kobana’s music journey started around millennium change when he got introduced to basic capabilities of computer recording software and flexibility which only computer workstation can offer. Since then, he has spent countless hours in his home studio learning production techniques, tweaking and bending the sound, reverse engineering someone else’s music productions, finding out the best use of mastering science and plugins. The result of his dedication is quickly recognisable in his productions: all sounds create a fantastic harmony that engages the listener and ideally transfers Kobana’s emotions. His skills were quickly recognised and fructified (and still do) in number of collaborations (some of them became an ongoing projects: with Mario Hatchet and Yane3dots, some others were just one off).

            03. Sophie Moleta - Paul Eluard (Marcelo Vasami Bootleg) [unreleased]

Sophie Moleta is an Australian singer, songwriter, composer and teacher with an intimate singing style. She is best known for her piano backed vocals in what can be described as 'folk pop', but has a wide range of recorded music with dance and house music, electronic ambient, laid back jazz and other styles.

Sophie came to our attention in 2000 when she sang on Human Movement's 'Love Has Come Again' for Renaissance [RENX005DJ] with the package featuring remixes from Brothers In Rhythm and Angel Moraes. The track also featured on Dave Seaman's Renaissance - The Master Series Part One: Awakening [REN1CD].

In 2004 three remixes of 'Paul Eluard' featured on Yoshitoshi Recordings 'Limited Edition Yoshi-Pak 1' [YRLTD1]. Paul Éluard was a French poet and founder of the surrealist movement.

            04. Baboop - Split Horizon [Mooseekaa | MSK002]

After serving up a storm with "Luis Junior - Alibi “ which reached no 12 in Beatports Techno Chart, Mooseekaa ‘s second release "Split Horizon" comes from another Spanish techno producer Baboop. The sleazy electro tinged basslines and euphoric melody are the driving characteristics of the track. Remixed by Cid Inc, the guy has built on the original’s energy by delivering a driving filtered heavy bassline , spacious effects and psy sound fills that create a climax fully transforming the track into the perfect dj weapon! Completing the release is the Techno Tool version of Baboop "Bottle" with its multilayered melodies and dubby, futuristic sounding beats. This peak time version of “Bottle” was heavily supported by Sasha and is certainly a track that needs no introduction or explanation.

            05. Carlos Fox - Magic Tears (Silinder Remix) [OLD SQL Recordings | Promo]

            Coming soon on Old SQL

            Released by: OLD SQL Recordings

OLD SQL Recordings is electronic music label founded by Ivan Nikusev in 2011. The idea of the label is to present the best Progressive music, filled with great melodies, deep and strong bass lines, tribal rhythms and trancey elements.

The vision of the label is to support music that has inspiration from the golden days of Progressive music, from the beginning of this millennium, combined with the modern sounds of today. The focus of the label is to release high quality tracks and to help young talents to express their artistic creativity.

            Silinder Bio

Silinder is Dublin's Gavin Mulhall. Born back in 2002 from a love of dark and electronic sounds. You won’t have to listen too hard to hear Silinder’s diverse range of musical influences in his music, which ranges from, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure and Depeche Mode, to, Infusion, Evil Nine and King Unique. The first Silinder tracks to be produced were “The Light Gets In”, “Junkfool” and “Shadowplay”,and it wasn’t long until these were picked up by Irish label “Fudge Recordings” and were made available on the various digital download sites. These debut tracks showcased Silinder’s dark side of progressive house and breakbeat.

Moving forward to 2005, a young dj by the name of James Zabiela picked up the Silinder remixes of New Order’s “Blue Monday and his own track “Robophobia”, and decided that they were good enough to spin on his travels around the globe. The Silinder remix of “Robophobia” was also featured on the September issue of Dj Mag cover cd which was mixed by Meat Katie and James himself and released on Dj Download by Renaissance. In 2007 Silinder has had releases on numerous labels including Renaissance and Kriece’s own Kindred Label Group and in 2008 has signed music to Irish based label Amalgam Audio and Manchester's Segment Records.

Moving in to 2009, big tracks on Stripped, Bellarine & once again on Segment Records has had Silinder in a lot of charts, radio shows & live mixes from some of the worlds biggest & most in demand dj's from around the world. Also that year, Silinder has found time to collaborate with fellow Dublin producers Boshell & Cody as Coherent and have had their original tracks & remixes signed to Particles [Proton Records]. Into 2010 and Silinder's remix of Spooky's 'Little Bullet' was caned by Charlie May on his recent tour & big releases again on Kindred Sounds & Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat label gained massive support worldwide. 2011 saw a release on Cid Inc's Replug label & original and remix work coming out on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital label, so expect big things to come...

            06. Yunus Güvenen - Tides [unreleased]

Tides appeared on Yunus's Soundcloud a few months back and its great to see him back producing music after a hiatus. Yunus has classic releases in iconic labels like Bedrock and Silver Planet.

Born in 1978 in Paris, France, Yunus spent most of his life between Istanbul, Paris and the United States. After completing his Electrical Engineering degree at Tufts University, MA, he quickly moved to New York City in order to look for a profession and began producing music on his spare time. His third achieved composition was handed to Cass during his performance at Twilo, the phone rang two weeks later with a contract on the other end and his production/licenses have consistently been in demand since.

After writing a series of productions for Silver Planet and Regress Records in 2002 which many have been included in various BBC Essential mixes as well John Digweed Kiss Fm shows, Yunus released “Mavi-Sufi” and the WMC 2002 anthem contender “Red Pilot”. The latter announced his first steps into the league of internationally followed progressive/house producers.

However it is in 2003 that Yunus Guvenen succeeded to become one of the most looked upon names in the progressive arena. After completing a high selling double EP on John Digweed’s prestigious Bedrock label, which earned him “Best Progressive EP of the year” through many sites and articles (SoundRevolt, Clubextreme, Residentadvisor etc…), he quickly strengthened his reputation by releasing the “Headfirst EP” on Silver Planet which many magazines (IDJ, DJ Mag) have noted as one of the best releases of the label within the past years.

Finally Yunus Guvenen has symbolically been asked by John Digweed himself to remix Bedrock’s first ever release “Heaven Scent” for the label’s 50 th Anniversary, the result was quoted as “one of the most exciting and inventive remix I have heard in the past few years” by J. Digweed himself and has consequently been the set closure track of the prominent DJ for several months.

Regarded by many critics as one of the most original voices in the industry, Yunus Guvenen has also succeeded to carve himself a strong following of listeners through his 4-5 hour dj sets and by hosting two John Digweed Kiss FM shows in the past two years. Through dedication, charismatic stage performance, and continuous research for innovative music and flowing sets Yunus has started to become a favorite in many countries including England, Poland, Greece, Romania, Hungary, France, Italy, and has already performed at the world’s leading venue’s.

            07. Nick Stoynoff – Brandenburg (Berlin Dream EP) [Proton Music | PROTON164]

            Artist // Nick Stoynoff
            Genre // Techno,Prog-House,

Release Date // Jan 24 2012

Label // Proton Music

            Tracks

            1. Berlin Dream

2. Berghain

            3. Brandenburg

Nick Stoynoff's top-selling track of last year was Havnit on Proton Music -- a glittering, rumbling success that captured the classic essence of the progressive genre's bygone days but with fresh, up-to-date sound design. And ever since its release in February of 2011 we've been working to bring Nick back in for an EP. Well, it took a nearly year -- but surely was worth the wait.

The new 3-track Berlin Dream EP is an intricate, finely crafted fusion of melodic techno and progressive house -- overflowing with atmosphere, rumbling with groove, and featuring stripped down, effective melodies. If this is any indication of Nick's future sound, and indeed, the future sound of the genre in 2012 -- then we're all in for a good year. We can dream, right?

Design by Royal Sapien, Mastered by Cid Inc, Directed by Jay Epoch

            08. Solar & Poppcke – Lightest Shades Of Grey (Marc Poppcke Remix) [Crossfrontier Audio | CFA004]

While they started to release music as Solar & Poppcke four years ago, Daniel and Marc have developed into different musical directions, which is mirrored in their reworked interpretations of the original track. Marc shows his preference for melodic tracks with a steady focus on the dance floor, while Daniel delivers a mid-tempo version of ‘Lightest Shades of Grey’, displaying his love for stripped down, deep, and disco house tracks. Furthermore, Daniel Solar has been running the label Dikso together with Andi de Luxe, one of the most successful labels of that genre in 2011.

            09. Verve – Elevate [Lowbit Records | LBR:065]

Australian producer and DJ Verve joins the Lowbit ranks with his label debut, ‘Elevate EP’, delivering a stunning 3 track release. Kicking off proceedings is the eponymous ‘Elevate’, an ethereal and spacious progressive house track full of melodies, rolling bassline and groovy rhythms. Hot on its heels is ‘Taurus’, a slightly darker track with a deep and protruding bassline and rapid arpeggios mixed with subtle pads and blissful melodies. Wrapping up the EP is ‘Voyage’, a deeper, more thoughtful track with evolving melodies and melancholic subtexts.
