This is the February session of Circular Sound Radio. This month we feature a 1 hour guest mix from none other than Mark Bell, "aka" Blakkat, from Shaboom Records. Mark delivers a chunky hour of deep house, techno and tech house.
I also do the first hour mix, which includes 2 remixes I have done. First off, a remix for Mark Bell's Shaboom America label. This is a remix of Hey, by Douglas J McCarthy. Better known as a member of Nitzer Ebb. The electronic monster group formed in the 80's. One of the originators of the electronic music scene.
The second remix is for DNYO's Belvedere track, out on microCastle.
I finish up my hour with one of my all time favorite tunes by the monstrous duo know as Slacker. Sadly Shem McCauley passed away a few weeks ago at his home in Bangkok, Thailand. Shem and musical partner, Simon Rogers produced some of the biggest prog house tunes of the 90's as firstly Ramp, then soon to be Slacker. Shem was a top lad with a real passion for sharing his musical talents. He will be very much missed by many music fans, and family and friends. RIP Shem.
