    Re: The Obama Impeachment

@ clintlove, I do find it interesting that after almost 2 pages of us debating, there wasn't a single post of yours that said, I agree or good point..etc. Whereas I have said I agree on a number of your points and I sincerely do. Just an observation.

You seemed to have just glossed over a bunch of my points and only argue differing opinions on something that you hold a different opinion on... not trying to be personal but it is a recurring theme I get debating with many people on the Right or Extreme-Right side of things, debating is always anti-this or anti-that, they can never agree on something if it is coming from someone on the other side. I don't get it.

Would you really rather sit at home, collecting money from the government, than be out in the workforce; regardless of what type of workforce it is? Even with an income that doesn't completely pay your bills, you can still get government assistance to help with the difference. At least you would be employed, paying taxes and be a part of the solution rather than part of the problem. I don't get it. Myself, I would (and have), swallow my pride and accept any job available to me, regardless if it's in my field or not.
It is also about economics. I receive more money from State Unemployment (which I have earned from being employed for 5+ years due to my ex-employer's SUTA tax) than I would if I accepted a fast food restaurant position or one at minimum or slightly more than minimum wage.

Also, I spend at least 5-6 hours a day searching for work and applying for work which has earned me, like I said, at least 1-2 interviews per week. If I were to take that fast food position, it would deter me from seeking full-time employment in an area to which I have worked 9+ years for. I wouldn't have the time I have now to specifically search for a Job while studying for my CPA. It's not like I sit at home and twiddle my thumbs at the ceiling... waiting for some government god to come down and say, "You Are Now Employed."

Something about the Right thinks that Unemployment benefits is so negative and shouldn't be allowed... if we didn't have that, our poverty rate would skyrocket and people like me and people with family's would be forced on the street or in Salvation Army area's... where again, the Right would whine that there are too many people there and they should do something with their lives when the economy is in the toilet and they really are trying, yes really are Trying.

        Re: The Obama Impeachment

Also, the REAL problem with this country is not entitlement programs, to which Romney, Paul Ryan, and everyone at Fox News would have you believe. This is only another scare tactic which only creates an US vs. THEM mentality, which btw, is not very American if you ask me. Entitlement programs as the Republicans call them are only a sliver to the real problem.

The REAL problem is our monstrosity of a military/Defense budget to which the Republicans (Ron Paul being the only one that doesn't and he is seen as crazy by his own party) always seem to cling onto like its a life raft in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, why? Our Defense budget is like bigger than the next 20 countries combined, what for? Why are we in all of these countries that don't even want us there in the first place, why do we still have forces in freakin' Germany, when as far as I knew, WW2 was over and done with. The Republicans are still screaming and whining over small cuts to it that the Military even agreed to!! LOL, it is just crazy... and they're next plan is that they want a new war with Iran? They even argued against Obama's dealing of Libya and Syria because they want to shove a whole new force in both countries, what for? McCain even still touts that he wants to leave a residual force in Iraq... again, what for?

Our debt problem would never be the problem that it is now if George W. Bush didn't get us into Iraq, a war that we never needed to be in, in the first place. If you don't know or realize that fact... well I just don't know. I know I still would like to read some of those e-mails or letters that were going around during that whole debacle but oh yea, they were destroyed, how convenient yea? Osama bin Laden may be dead (thank you Obama) but he sure did get the job done didn't he? One heinous act by his disgusting little group and we spend the next 11+ years in an economic free fall, it should't have been like this.

As an outsider looking into America it certainly seems the Al Qaida won. They made you nearly bankrupt your economy, made your sacrifice thousands of your young. According to the latest NSA-whistleblower they made you also loose all of your precious freedom in creating one hell of a Big Brother system.

I was and still am a supporter of the war in Afganistan, but the whole Iraq thing was just so pointless and caused so much harm globally.

I will politely disagree with your statement that military spending is the big problem.
I am at work and don't feel like spending a lot of time searching, so this simple wikipedia pie chart will have to suffice.

Looks to me like Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, and Discretionary spending far outweigh military.
And this is before Obamacare gets implemented.

            Just sayin.'

That pie chart is missing a key piece... how Medicare and Social Security are being almost paid for by W-2 Employee's through Medicare and Social Security taxes, both of which are matched by Employer taxes... what is Defense paid with? During the Bush years, nothing, it was almost ALL added to the Deficit. It's not a sheer coincidence that George W Bush came in with a Surplus, then entered into two wars, 7-years later, we have a Trillions$ Deficit.

Pie charts are nice and pretty and all but miss ALOT.

Trainwreck in the making? I'm sure the narrative was trying to paint him as mixing hip hop and house, but last night he was straight drum and bass track after drum and bass track. With several bo-selecta's dropped here and there.

I agree. You're not supposed to piss on an electrical fire. That's why a change of leadership is warranted. Because, last I checked, George fucking Bush (barely a fucking centrist republican) isn't running (thankfully) for president.

Entitlement programs are a sliver? Really? Tell the people on entitlements that they need to vote for the peeps trying to reform it and then get back to me. (at least you admit it's a problem. some people are even in denial about that lol).

I concur that we should have done fuck-all in Iraq. but that's the new global leftist military machine.
