        01. Daneel - Melancholy [Stripped Recordings | Promo]

Buenos Aires DJ/Producer Daneel has a new Gloss EP coming out on Rezongar Music [RZG027]. Although atmospheric opener 'Melencholy' doesn't feature on the EP 'Gloss' was featured in Hernán's November 2011 chart.

        http://soundcloud.com/daneelargentina/tracks

Since childhood, Daneel knew that music, making people dance and have fun was his passion. Influences such as Simply Red, INXS, Prince, Nitzer Ebb, Then Jerico, Thomas Dolby helped him make his dream a reality. At 16 he started to warmup in one of the most influential clubs in the province of Buenos Aires (Whidad). From then on he began his career, playing for big clubs, organizing events in which a wide array of DJs participated, and became part of one of the biggest clubs of South America (Amerika), playing every night for a crowd of more than 2,500 people.

Music quality is a constant in his sets and he is very personal about it, making audiences feel the music with all their senses. As warmup, he is a DJ who respects the ones coming after him, leaving the dance-floor at the right temperature to showcase the main DJ.

In 2006, Daneel discovered music production softwares and since then every sound he creates or imagines is put in his tracks, that are built and mixed in the most detailed fashion. His personal style is predominantly Progressive House and House in all its forms, experimenting on the DJ booth and sensing the mood of people, thus ensuring total control of the dancefloor and the ambiance.

By the hand of Hernan Cattaneo, in 2008 his musical productions are known and recognized worldwide, his remixes being played in one of the most iconic and respected radio stations in the world (BBC Radio1).

With hard work, good sense and effort, he gets one of his bootleg remixes to be one of the most viewed on the Internet for a South American DJ/producer in the YouTube video channel (Depeche Mode – Free love – Daneel bootleg remix), with a total of more than 200,000 visits/plays around the world.

His references when defining his DJing and production style have been Frankie Knuckles, Hernan Cattaneo., Danny Rampling, John Digweed, to name a few.
His productions and remixes got him the recognition of DJs around the world, such as Hernan Cattaneo, DeepMariano, Oliver Moldan, Erick Morillo, Kenneth Thomas, Bs As Deep, Guille Quero, Tarkan, Gabucio, Facundo Mohrr, Marcelo Vasami, Yamil Colucci and others, who often use and chart his productions.

        02. Pole Folder & Amine Edge - Minor Theory (Liubo Ursiny 'Sunday Residents Edit') [Reworck | unreleased]

Reworck label boss and legendary progressive producer Pole Folder (think Apollo Vibes and his Zero Gold LP on Bedrock) teams up with leader of the french 'Gangsta House' movement for the 12th Reworck release Minor Theory [RW12]. Here we get a an edit from Hernán's 2012 breakthrough DJ, Liubo Ursiny.

        http://soundcloud.com/liuboursiny/tracks

Liubo Ursiny is the half-Slovak, half-Bulgarian, resident DJ of Yalta Club (placed 19th in DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs for 2010), who has been cutting his teeth behind the decks for the last six years. Liubo is obsessed with intelligent house and techno music but loves the old classics and lush sexy vocals as well. He is regarded as one of the most exciting names on the local electronic scene. The proof? Hernan Cattaneo mentioned Liubo as his breakthrough DJ for 2010. The Argentinian demands Ursiny to open and close all his sets in Bulgaria.

Blame his background (guitar and piano lessons from an early age along with a father, who was an important figure in Slovak rock and jazz music) for an innate understanding of song composition and how to build a set. Till now Liubo has shared the stage at Yalta Club and other venues with artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler, Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola.

BLAME is his club night and SUNDAY is where he meets friends for a more laid-back end of the week. Under the influence of Danny Howells and his Dig Deeper concept, Liubo Ursiny and Elevate Entertainment conceived BLAME as a monthly event and a marathon eight hour gig, often extended to half a day behind the decks.

        03. Oxia - Harmonie [InFiné Music | IF2039]

Almost eight years after the release of “24 Heures” (released by Goodlife), Oxia, a pioneer of the French electronic scene, is back in 2012 at last with a new LP. Perfectionist par excellence, Olivier Raymond is well known for his rare but highly appreciated productions. His EPS, as well as his remixes, released at the end of the noughties on Kompakt, Tsuba or 8bit have made him one of the key producers of the Beatport generation, reaching its climax with the international commercial success of “Domino” in 2006 or “Whole Life” in 2010.

For his new album, Oxia decided to put aside the trendy electronic patterns and to move back to more classic but no less enjoyable House Music. With this said, the album is not shy of a deep and melodic sound that ventures to the dancefloor with a stamp of the Oxia groove. "Tides of Mind" features vocal collaborations of Miss Kittin, Mesparrow and Scalde. A future classic for Home electronic amateurs as well Club goers!

"Tides of Mind" will be released end of April in France and early May in the rest of the world in CD/LP and digital.

Ahead of the LP comes the "Harmonie EP". Released on vinyl only in March 2012, this EP offers two delightful foretastes for his forthcoming album. InFiné could not dream of any better track to celebrate this new addition to the label´s roster than with “Harmonie”. Oxia never sounded so classy and so emotional – two major features of the label´s trademark. On the flipside, “Flying over Time” is an obvious wink to Chicago`s heydays. Deep in its purest form!

300 copies for the world,no repress!

        05. Ishome - Nothing (Ormatie Remix) [Proton Music | PROTON0170]

Genre // Techno,Electronica,

        A1 Ormatie Remix
        B1 Stefan Weise Remix

Mirabella Ishome took all us by surprise. Her debut 'Eva' EP on Proton Music found critical acclaim amongst the label's roster of residents, but equal success amongst our wider fan base -- paving the way for more music on the label as intelligent as it is danceable.

Now two of Proton's finest have reworked Nothing into something even greater. Ormatie, whom brought Ishome to our attention in the first place, makes one of his rare appearances with a delicately crafted remix that features the perfect attention to detail and distinct intricate sounds that have made him one of the highest selling artists on our label and Nick Warren's Hope-- no easy feat with only a few tracks released each year.

Joining Ormatie on remix duty is Stefan Weise, host of the Blue Industries radio show and co-founder of the newly launched Evoked music label. To many progressive fans, Stefan Weise is known as Stefan Anion -- who has a major compilation forthcoming on Silk Digital. He has be resident...

        http://soundcloud.com/vinayaka/tracks

        08. Guy J - Nightstalker [Bedrock] [Bedrock Records | Bed_USoM]

Guy never fails to deliver quality tracks, and “Nightstalker” is no exception. Subtle grooves lead to melodic washes that just build and build throughout this track, and it always gets great reactions. [John Digweed]

        Bedrock_Underground Sounds of Miami LP

“We’ve been wanting to do a Miami sampler for the last few years now, showcasing some of the great artists we work with on the label but other projects and releases got in the way of letting us do this. However this year we have been very fortunate to be in a position where we not only had some amazing music but also some time to get this organised so we could do it properly. I have also been able to road test all of the tracks at gigs since the start of January and the reactions to the music has been amazing so it seemed perfectly apt to put a release together that we can focus on around Miami and the Bedrock showcase parties there.” [John Digweed]

“The wealth of artists involved is truly amazing and it was great to get Pig&Dan involved along with artists who we have worked with in the past, like Robert Babicz, Wehbba, Guy J and Stelios Vassiloudis. Ultimately, I’m really happy with the release and can foresee a lot of these tracks carrying on into the summer season for a lot of DJs.” [John Digweed]

Take, Sirenize, the latest project involving Rowan Blades and rising star Dennis White (aka Thermal Bear on Traum). This duo never compromises, always staying true to the underground with a strict artistic ethos & integrity, as opening track, ‘Everybody’, proves.

From ambient soundscapes, downtempo vocal tracks and slo-mo house, through to deliciously deep house, tech-house and acid grooves, the supremely exciting debut artist album from Greece’s Stelios Vassiloudis, “It Is What It Is” on Bedrock, showed the world that variety is the spice of life. So it’s no wonder that Stelios makes two appearances here: flying solo on the inspired ‘West’ and teaming up with sometime collaborator Sasse (aka Klas Lindblad from Finland) on ‘Benedict’. Sasse’s first releases came out on the legendary Sähkö/Puu as Freestyle Man and rightly are considered a milestone in the Scandinavian house sound. His Moodmusic and Sunday Music labels are highly respected worldwide, so his production skills are up there with the best, as ‘Benedict’ shows.

Germany’s Robert Babicz has a music career that already spans nearly two decades, comprising five albums and multiple singles. The mark of a true musical innovator, he continues to reveal his talent and skill as one of Europe’s most essential techno producers. His contribution here, ‘Echo From The Past’, is yet another stunning creation from this hero to many.

Guy J’s brand new track ‘Shining’ (BEDGJDIGI01) and the hot remixes of tracks from his critically acclaimed ‘1000 Words’ album, have been setting floors alight since the start of 2012, so its no surprise that ‘Nightstalker’ is yet another absolute gem. As one of the standout electronic artists in the world today, Guy J is at the forefront of a movement towards the melody-rich and emotionally charged roots of the house music spectrum.

Canada’s Maher Daniel & Casa (aka Mike Casa) are both upcoming, pivotal figures on the Montreal scene. Daniel’s remix of Tone Depth’s ‘Rumblefish’ (Bedrock) was #1 on Beatport’s techno charts for over two and a half months, cementing a relationship with the label that sees ‘Music, Machines & Life’ introducing a very exciting vibe to the proceedings here. A low-slung, heavy hitting tech monster is the order of the day.

Hailing from Brazil, Wehbba is one of the latest additions to Brazil’s fine history of innovative techno producers. He made a big impression with his remix of Christian Smith’s ‘Flyertalk’ on John Digweed’s ‘Structures’ album, leading this dentist graduate, licensed diver and Jiu Jitsu fighter to have his debut track, ‘Mammut’ included on ‘Bedrock 12’. Now, with the bouncy percussive beauty of ‘Motone’ he makes an exciting, welcome return.

If you’re talking about exciting underground producers it would be rude not to mention Igor Tchkotoua and Dan Duncan (aka Pig&Dan), since 1999 their distinctive mixture of influences has given them a sound that is both innovative and easily recognizable. Their Sonic Society label and relationship with Sven Vath’s Cocoon family have led to global respect for this dynamic duo. Teaming up with English ex-pat, Mark Reeve and Malta’s Dean Demanuele has led to a truly international melting pot of hip-swinging, groovy rhythms on ‘Machines’.

Few French electronic music artists combine experience, avant-gardism and guaranteed success on dance floors as Electric Rescue (aka Antoine Husson) does. His distinctive brand of ultra-dynamic techno and sensuality has already proved itself on Bedrock. ‘Dope’ (BEDDIGi13) was a Balearic techno monster, combining the elegance of Detroit attitude to the groove of a big room tune. The highly hypnotic ‘All Access’ with fellow French prodigy, Timid Boy (aka Damien Almira) is equally amazing here.

Catalan producer and DJ Marc Dosem is unquestionably one of the hottest rising stars in the underground electronic dance scene. His bold debut album, “Parallel” (Sino), was released to much critical acclaim in the summer of 2011, further cementing growing respect, having already unleashed massive tunes such as “Silent Drop” and “Beach Kisses”. Dosem’s stunning remix of Henry Saiz ‘La Marea’ (BED100R) was a highlight of 2011. His unrivalled ability to harness glistening melodies, taking listeners on a trip through wondrous realms of emotion, are supreme on ‘How Do You Do It’, a fitting finale to what is an extraordinary collection of the finest underground electronic dance music.

Once again, it’s hats off to Bedrock for raising the bar even higher with this exceptional compilation. In this day and age to not only survive as an independent label, but also to flourish and constantly evolve, bringing forward new and exciting talent, is something that should be applauded.
