Basic presents JEFF MILLS - Axis Records 20th Anniversary @ Poisson Rouge Sat. 4/28

Saturday April 28th - Basic presents...
JEFF MILLS @ (le) Poisson Rouge
    Axis Records 20th Anniversary

For 20 years, JEFF MILLS and his Axis Records label have been at the forefront of techno's evolution and progression.
We're honored to help this visionary artist celebrate 20 years of incredible music with his return appearance at (le) Poisson Rouge on Saturday April 28th. After a spellbinding night at LPR in December, we cannot wait to hear this mindbending DJ drop one of his trademark sets of outer-limits electronic mayhem, with Jeff mixing on four decks and the 909 drum machine. Do not miss this night of history with "the Wizard" destroying the dancefloor.

Thanks to Time Out New York for the great writeup - http://www.timeout.com/newyork/clubs...nyc-jeff-mills

          Can’t wait for Saturday.

“Sleepy & Boo’s Basic NYC has once again snagged Jeff Mills, the fabled Detroit techno innovator whose quick-mix, jagged-edge DJ sets are among the most amazing sessions ever heard. Previous nights that the Axis Records kingpin played for Basic were mind-blowing, and tonight’s throwdown promises the same—perhaps doubly so, seeing as the evening is serving as Axis' 20th-anniversary celebration. (Mills is also marking the day with a very cool book-and-music release called Sequence: A Retrospective of Axis Records, which is well worth tracking down.) Sleepy, Boo and opening spinner Cylo play as well. Maria 909 serves as the party's enchanting host.”
