We don’t need to talk around it, even if all we really want is just to dance sensuously. Most of the dance floors share a resemblance with a certain degree of detonation-effect somewhere between the beat, the bass, the snare and clap. Many happy currents from the islands have washed ashore from time to time. The triumphal procession of the 4/4 from recent times has managed a mixture of freshness and new depths, and this has not been lost on deep-bass aficionado Douglas Greed.
Shunning the standard genre-defined fare, his debut album "KRL" maintains a hearty deepness and allows the club ethos to stand out to it's greatest possible extent. This makes the flipped-out nocturnal swarms only that much hungrier for the preparation of the grade A ingredients. In short, remixes trump! Douglass just grabbed the earpiece and placed a call to diverse beat crafters for said enrichment.
In total there were seven remixes of which all are released digitally (KRLRmxs01), four of which are here presented on vinyl (FAT055). Of course all editions naturally bear the singular features of the maestro, yet still all share a singular commonality: an undeniable thirst for the dance floor.
Douglas Greed - Shiver (feat. Delhia de France) - Juno 6 Remix Juno06 also plied his trade with "Shiver". The original is wrenched into a dark cellar in an effort at slowly turning the screw, until finally a dazzling light embraces you.
Douglas Greed & Pascal Bideau - Down Here - Marek Hemmann Remix The typical Hemmann drive meets voices from the indie wonderland: "Folk-techno without a bonfire"
Douglas Greed - Shiver (feat. Delhia de France) - Ruede Hagelstein Remix Ruede takes "Shiver" and turns it into a yearning hymn. This is the sound of pop in club raiment between house and techno 2012.
Douglas Greed - Shiver (feat. Delhia de France) - Mollono Bass Remix The man from the acres of Wustrow takes on "Shiver". Simultaneously dreamy and powerful in sound, it's all about the female persuasion on the dance floor.
Douglas Greed - Back Room Deal (feat. Delhia de France) - Clara Moto Remix The "loudest" piece from the album is packed in a decor crafted from waving cloths and a driving beat structure. A deft hand on the apparatus for the early morning cinema.
Douglas Greed - Waiting In Line - Gunne Remix The Erfurt-based Gunne shoots his own film and takes home an Oscar for the finest soundtrack in the category for 'Best Cinematic Techno'.
Douglas Greed & Pascal Bideau - Down Here - Patrick Pulsinger Remix A willing and compelling pop thumper with fat stuns under the hood. Like a wedding of the compact house understanding with raw house of the 90's. With an understated character the light

OF NORWAY is the joint forces of Vegard “ Lil’ “ Wolf Dyvik & Chris Lynch.
Well known on the Norwegian dance scene, Of Norway has become regulars at the country's festivals and on the national radio station NRK P3. Describing their own sound as 'like being lost in the woods in Norway', their alternative house and dubby dance sound is warm and sometimes chilling and most of all uniquely Of Norway.
Their music, released on labels including Darkroom Dubs, Connaisseur Recordings, Dialect, and Afro Art, to mention a few, has already found them support from a vast array of DJ's, Hot Chip, Anja Schneider, X-Press 2, Silicone Soul, Funk D’Void, Timo Maas, Nick Warren, Martin Landsky, SLAM, Secret Cinema, Mistress Barbra, Gabriel Ananda, Ewan Pearson, D’Julz, Charles Webster, Phil Kieran, Laurent Garnier, Ben Watt, Llorca, Stacey Pullen, Brodinski, Lee Burridge, Kiki, John Digweed, Fabric Lig and Ripperton included.
Of Norway’s live set has taken them to play amongst others the legendary Berlin clubs Bar 25 and Arena Club as well as Kleine Reise. They have also had successful live shows in Barcelona at Razzmatazz and have recently been on a national tour of Norway sponsored by Burn.
“Lil’Wolf and Chris Lynch describe their music as the sound of ‘being lost in the woods in Norway’, and they certainly build up a tangible world of clicks, tweaks and burps – from an evening tide washing up on a beach of shingles, to the chattering of insect life in the forest floor, their house-tinged soundscapes are redolent and absorbing” (NoMusicMedia – on OF NORWAY live)
Lil’Wolf is one of the few selected Norwegians to have been invited to record a BBC session for Annie Nightingale.
Description of their sound : It's like if Voodoo, Disco, Techno and House decided to have a party together. [Of Norway]
03. Hartmut Kiss - Flaming Passion (Guy J Remix) [Definition Records | DEFD2050]
'Flaming Passing' is a great follow up from HARTMUT KISS' latest Definition Records release 'Water Games'. This time he invited again great Artists to remix his track. JOHANNES HEIL (Cocoon, Kanzleramt, Starkstrom) creates a real after hour bomb which will hit the case of all cocoon heads. GUY J (Bedrock Records) stays not behind the track and delivers a melodic hymn which rounds the EP up. Overall a very strong EP from Hartmut Kiss which makes us very exciting for his new upcoming Album.

05.iresRodrigo Mateo - Stereotypes [Baires Records | Promo]
Rodrigo Mateo - "Stereotypes EP" OUT SOON on bairesrecords // original plus huge remixes by Dark Soul Project & Santiago Garcia, Exoplanet, and Santiago Mossman.
Music is continuously changing and evolutioning, sometimes faster than what we can perceive. But is every change positive? Focusing on a better and clearer or wider sound is more important than composing music with the hearth?. What is more valuable? Music made to make people dance, or music to be felt, which melodies can touch your soul? Of course there is no correct answer... all this depends of the listener.
Sometimes after a rave, people complaints because music wasnt "high" enough, or there was no groove present in it. Sometimes I complaint about its lack of feelings and emotions. As I told its up to the listener and its preferences... Anyway I think I'm minority.
In the common desire of making music for dancing, progressive house music lost its essence: the power to reach the soul and become you a different, better human being. Its my biggest wish, recovering this precious thing we lost. Thanks for taking a time to read and listening. [Rodrigo Mateo]
Baires Records
Straight from the deepest end of the continent, to the beginnings of year 2011 acclaimed producer Santiago Garcia brings his latest project to light: Baires Records. This new digital imprint will showcase Santiago's true essence throughout original, remix tunes by him and from local international producers.
In the past decade, South America, and specially Buenos Aires, have had a particularly important influence in the electronic scene. Baires Records will emerge as a new progressive, house, and tech house reference.
Rodrigo Mateo Bio
Rodrigo Mateo, born in 1988, Electronic musician from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Started his producer career at the age of 20, five years after his first contact with electronic music. During this period he has been exposed to many influences, all of them present now at the time of writing music.
http://soundcloud.com/rodrigomateo/tracks
The experimental side is always present, in shape of abstract atmospheres that aims to enhance the spiritual side of music, in equilibrium with melodies and choirs, combined to reach the subconscious of the listener.
The fusion with modern progressive house ended in a distinctive style, easily recognisable due to its level of feelings and emotions, deep and spiritual melodies as well as a effective club sound.
Listening his music you can go through different sensations, sometimes opposites, like sadness and happiness, adrenaline and quietness, or hope and resignation. All of them in a specific order to present an idea or situation. Thats the whole point of music, produce a propitious space to get in contact with the soul.
06. Nicholas Van Orton - Klonas [unreleased]
Ariel Gandolfo (aka Nicholas Van Orton) Coming from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ariel first got involved with music at the age of 16. Ten years later, after recording three studio albums with the band "il phantasmo" (Smokinghome Records, 1999, 2001 and 2003), he decided to work as a solo artist producing dance tracks under the alias Nicholas Van Orton.
His tunes had a great welcome at the house music scene, and are supported by many international and local djs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Eddie Halliwell, 16bit Lolitas, Andy Moor or Anthony Pappa, to name a few.
While working alone, or as a part of production team, his tracks frequently manage to reach the charts from pools, djs and record stores. Ariel has firmly established also as a DJ, playing around America and Europe performing both DJ gigs and live acts, where he includes his latest works and remixes.
Since 2009, NVO also runs Balkan Connection South America record label, in collaboration with his friend Ogi Gee Cash, getting massive support from mainstream DJ's. He also takes part of side groups and collaborations, such as The Planters, with Luciano Lima or his duo with the argentinian producer Niko Fantin.
07. Kassey Voorn - Viola (Dosem Remix) [Afterglow Deep | AGRDEEP031]
Berlin based German Progressive-Trance label welcomes back Athens producer Kassey Voorn, who arrives fresh from remixes of Guy J, Kasey Taylor and Paul Kalkbrenner (Kassey's 'Kruppzeug' remixes features in Hernán's April 2012 chart).
08. Khen - Ginger (Guy Mantzur & Khen Remix) [Whose Haus | WHO34]
Israeli producer Khen makes his return to the excellent Canadian Whose Haus label for his 3rd overall appearance and a new single entitled 'Ginger'. Hen Falah aka Khen has had an incredible run of productions in recent months with appearances on Somebody's Story, Lowbit and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank. 'Ginger' is Khen's first single for Whose Haus following his remix of Piyush Awasthi's 'Morphine' and it comes with an excellent second mix from himself and Guy Mantzur.
Khen's 'Ginger' original leads the package off and it's quirky progressive house vibe is immediately infectious. Great aquatically styled sound design, waning pads and hovering atmospheres that phase in and out for an amazing hypnotic effect lead the way early on. The scattered but intricately placed percussion elements give the composition tremendous dance floor appeal even with the somewhat deep overtones. This is smooth and very cool, brilliant original from Khen.
For the accompanying remix on the package Khen has teamed up with fellow Israeli producer Guy Mantzur who is much loved for his productions on Flow, Definitive and more recently Somebody's Story. For their 'Ginger' interpretation Khen and Guy have added a much more melodic vibe to the composition with big building harmonious lines and a fat progressive groove that's perfect for today modern dance floors. This remix was also selected as one of Beatport's Must Hear Progressive House tracks for this week so don't miss it!
09. Eelke Kleijn - Levensgenieter (Dosem Remix) [Outside the Box Music | OTB063]
Originally released last December [OTB063] Girona's Marc Dosem is called upon to continue his hot streak of remixes, which includes Marc Poppcke's 'Displayed Emotions' for Hernán's Sudbeat [SB23] and a massive remix of Henry Saiz's 'La Marea' for the Bedrock 100 package.
