            02. Fran Von Vie - Love your Life [unknown]

Fran Von Vie, a winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix contest of 2011, is a driving force in the new wave of Spanish progressive house & melodic techno producers.

            Labels : 99percentrecordings // minus // Last Night on Earth // D.A.R // Particles // Flow Vinyl // Manual Music // Hyline Music // Somebodys Story

Remixes to : Plastikman, Sasha, Denis A, Egostereo, Monaque, Kosmas Epsilon

Fran’s always looking for new sounds and structures. He doesn’t believe in genres and makes music from the heart, believing it’s supposed to be felt, not understood.
In Summer 2010 he started to take a serious interest in producing professional electronic tracks for the dancefloor.

In 2011 he released a remix of Plastikman "Ask yourself" at the prestigious m_nus label and also a remix of Sasha-Cut me down was released on Sasha's new imprint "Last Night on Earth". His "Forbidden Places" released on DAR label climb the charts to the Top1 on vinyl sales.

In 2012 he joined the roster of 99percent and is working on a special project where he will be remixed by some of the world's hottest producers.

His first release Albatros is already making big waves and is remixed by the legendary Oliver Lieb. One thing's for sure, you ain't seen nothing yet from this guy.

            03. Olivier Weiter - Unknown [Unknown]

Olivier Weiter – House music's very own shaman

It yet has to be proved Olivier Weiter is a future foreseeing shaman, but taking an audience into rapture is already one of this unique performer's qualities. His productions and DJ sets take the listener by the hand, leading them through different facets house music has to offer.

Deeply rooted in the underground Olivier Weiter has grown out to an established name in Dutch nightlife. His own Bar27 parties have grown out to infamous events, also his sets at Cocoon, Time Warp NL, Mystery Land and Sensation turned into lively shows. Meanwhile, Weiter is also a more than welcome guest in Berlin, where he's already brought lots of warmth and solidarity with his renowned marathon DJ sessions.

Olivier Weiter gigs are always interspersed with rolling drum rhythms and melodic dreamy records, leaving the urge to raise your hands to the sky almost overpowering. Just as diverse as his DJ sets also his productions feature exhilarating rhythms alternated with some atmospheric sounds. Always open for new innovations Weiter is constantly working to extend and evolve his personal sound.

Fed by his audience's energy Olivier Weiter, besides his sets and productions, is about to surprise us yet some more times with organizing a series of long lasting events on special locations. Curious to find out what this shaman of house music will bring us in the future?

            04. Homegroove Project - Let Me In [Pure Substance Digital | PSD103]

Our new signing to the label, UK based Homegroove Project consist of Paul Crudgington & Ian Stanford. Driven by crisp beats, funk drenched bass lines and laid back licks the duo has continued down the road of their sound evolution, picking up the skills necessary for the ongoing journey. Recent productions have received plaudits from renowned DJs and producers including Llorca, Laurent Garnier, Chris Coco and Arnaud Le Texier to name a few, and have seen them rank highly in a number of remix contests for the likes of Alif Tree, Kahuun, Cassius and Crazy P. On this EP, they present us two wicked tracks in the deeper edge. Mastering by Cid Inc.

            05. Petar Dundov - Brownian Interplay (Ideas From The Pond LP) [Music Man Records | MMCD037D]

Producer Petar Dundov runs his own ‘Neumatik’ studio in Zagreb where he works as a sound engineer as well as producing his own take on techno, house and electronica. The new album ‘Ideas From The Pond’ is his most accomplished work to date and features beautifully layered techno, hypnotic rhythms and shimmering melodies that make this a real landmark release for the Croatian DJ/producer.

To Dundov, “techno is music that precedes movement. It is dance music, solid enough to carry emotions through the dance floor and abstract enough to be a template forever”. And indeed his breathtaking productions embody this ethos, serving the inherent function of making your body pulse spontaneously while also challenging your brain with its complex melodies and slow-burning, hypnotic progressions.

Although maybe the word “techno” doesn’t give enough detail about his style, it’s probably the nearest ballpark to whose principles his music adheres – and he is keen to expand the horizons of what people know and expect of the genre. But it’s that sense of his tracks being alive, forever evolving and expanding and increasing in intensity, which gives his music its unique sound and has seen his work crossover into a myriad of different areas of the global electronic music scene. The last three years have seen his mind-bending album “Escapements” take the scene by storm with its intricate, ever-changing melodies.

Taking the listener from the club to a tripped out dreamscape, his new album ‘Ideas From The Pond’ brings musicality back to techno and shows that minimal doesn’t need to be one-dimensional. Driving, thrilling and emotionally charged ‘Ideas From The Pond’ is set to cross the techno/house/trance divide and become one of the essential electronic albums of 2012.

            06. Hal Incandenza - Ventura [Natura Sonoris | Promo]

            No release info yet.

Named after a charchter in the 1996 novel Infinite Jest by Henry Saiz's favourite author David Foster Wallace, Hal Incandenza is Henry Saiz's alter ego, allowing the Madrid artist to give his own take on disco-influenced house as an alternative project.

"Creating many pseudonyms nowadays is a waste of time; people won’t get to know you, but just get lost in a sea of names and styles. I have just one actually, Hal Incandenza, which I created because it’s really a different production style than me as Henry Saiz, and really had the need of developing this disco-house-experimental side." [Henry Saiz aka Hal Incandenza]

            07. Nick Curly - Underground (Andy Arias Remix) [Cécille Records | Unreleased Competition Entry]

Germany's Nick Curly began his illustrious DJ career when he was 15 years old; he had wild dreams of stardom at a tender age. So, think of Curly's burgeoning youth spent holed up behind the decks at Karlsruhe's Vibration club as inspiration for your remix of his new melodic and soulful house cut "Underground," taken from his brand-new LP, Between The Lines, on his own Cecille label. Maybe you, too, will find yourself a resident spot at Space Ibiza after you knock 'em dead with your take on "Underground," whose key parts have been provided for Beatport Play's latest contest. One grand-prize winner takes home a Novation Launchpad, and will have his or her remix released on Cecille. The submission window opens March 19th and closes April 2nd, so get on it and upload your best remix.

            08. Microtrauma - Juno (SQL Remix) [Microtonal Records | MICRO016

A special release for a special artist this is Microtraumas newest drop. After gaining lots of attention for their recent output on Traum Schallplatten and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat label the duo goes back to their roots and presents the Juno EP. Techno with emotion – maybe the best description for the Originals. Remix works are coming from SQL (Trapez, Respekt, SK Supreme), Groj and Oliver Lieb (Bedrock, Yoshitoshi) who remixed Microtraumas first big tune Aktin which was released on Microtonal 005.
