To the contrary, nearly everything one does in life is a signal to others. This is not a fact that begins with marketing or advertising; it's a fact that begins with our evolutionary ancestors. To wit, it's a very real part of our human nature. That advertising and marketing groups have found a way to capitalize on that for themselves and for their clients is immaterial. There's a reason why I don't drive a Prius or wear Justin Beiber t-shirts.

I could just as easily turn that around on you and posit that the reason you purchased and are favorable to iphones is because "marketing and advertising are powerful things, and it looks like they've gotten you to believe that." But then, you'd miss out on that beautiful slice of an evo-psych appetizer i just delivered above

ive used both, and especially over time, iphones seem to be more efficient, higher quality.

this is an awesome phone. it makes the iphone look like a junker (all the officer secretaries brought over their iphones to compare and they were mad jelly).

i'm not sure about performance, but i'm quite certain this also performs better too.

Did you get the S3 online? The NOTE actually turned out to be cumbersome on my overseas travels (most of which are work related). It's a PITA to lug around in your suit pocket making it appear as though you're wearing a bullet proof vest on one side.

Yeah, that was the one downside to note. Love the pen, large screen, etc...but i figured I already had a tablet as it was. (kinda goofy to make calls on the Note as well lol)

HTC One X+ due out soon. Seems like it's gonna be the fastest / most powerful handset on the market. Some of the benchmark tests (quadrant/antutu) were off the scales. Looks like it will be a helluva hit.

To me it's in the very near future it's between the Sammy Galaxy Note 2 and Nokia Lumia 920. Only thing putting me off the note is it's running of Jelly Bean. But the wireless charging on the 920 is pure class.

Also forgot to mention the Sammy ATIV S. This really looks good. I've recently been hitched by Win OS for mobile.Cannot wait till 8 is released and can get something decent. by the end of this year. iOS you've been warned.

Seriously reconsider the Note, trust me. I've been using the first gen for almost a year now and the large size is nothing but cumbersome. It's the only reason I'm selling my Note to buy either the iPhone5 or the HTC One X+. That is going to be one helluva device.
