Hidden Recordings continues its peak-time form with a colossal release capable of annihilating dance-floors courtesy of the latest artist to join the family, Bodyscrub.
Based in Naples, Bodyscrub’s debut on Hidden Recordings showcases his rugged Italian techno sound. Kalendula is a cavernous warehouse brute that is packaged with inspiring remixes from Alex Bau and Kyle Geiger as well as the up-and-coming Belfast duo Miniminds. This release is pure love for the big room and for those who enjoy the debaucherous late-night vibe. Available on vinyl and digital, this release is Hidden’s most potent to date and only a taste of what’s in store on future releases.

Kalendula (Original)
A sweaty piece of late night grime, Bodyscrub’s style can be described succinctly as: relentless, dark and powerful. This late nighter is all of those things – Unstoppable rolling drums, spacious, haunting crisp sounds, and mounds of bass to keep heads throbbing. Tension is built through a subtle, continuous build that explodes to bring drama to the dance floor.
Kalendula (Alex Bau Remix)
Hidden is proud to have techno star Alex Bau remixing Kalendula, and he delivers a constant, bubbling mass of dark bass frequencies, rolling percussion, and gritty Tresor-style techno mojo that can be described as pure filth.
Kalendula (Kyle Geiger Remix)
Keeping with the industrial theme of the original, US techno producer Kyle Geiger works an effective melodic loop around punchy drums and stark musical arrangements. The result is an explosive combo that will expand minds and open the room.
Kalendula (Miniminds Remix)
The Northern Ireland duo provides a deeper and mysterious interpretation of the original and can be appropriately described as an out of body experience. The undulating drums and spooky melody conjure images of falling into a bottomless pit and experiencing perpetual weightless free fall. Perfect for when you already have them and take the party to the next dimension.
