Pliavin & Zimbardo are no ordinary DJ duo. In one name, you have one of the most complete packages in dance music today. They combine their skills behind the decks with an impressive list of production and remix credits on some of the most influential labels around (see below). They are also resident reviewers for top UK magazine IDJ (International DJ), and run their own label group consisting of Distraekt Records, Distraektions Records and the new Factor 10 Records. Busy guys!
P&Z have been spinning together now for many years, in various venues far and wide, including ?ROACH? with Tom Stephan and Victor Calderone, also making an appearance on Toms Kiss 100FM show, Ministry of Sound (Taipei, Taiwan), Halloween Parties (Kazakhstan), EX OZ (Chile, South America) Ministry of Sound Radio (London), Full Moon Party (Kazakhstan), Centro (Jakarta), Key 103FM (UK), Club Madness (Holland), Melonphunk@Herbal (London), Generation X (Manchester), Centro (Singapore), NRK@WMC(Miami), Muzika@WMC (Miami), Paradise Factory (Manchester), NATO (Leeds), Foundation (Glasgow), Resident (Leeds), Moov (Wales), Beatfreak Parties (Madrid, and Valencia). The guys also have lined up some superb gigs this year, and for 2005 including USA, South America, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, Turkey, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Australia and many others throughout Europe and the rest of the globe. Most Recently the guys have just completed vists to South America and Kazakhstan, where their sounds was greeted with open arms!! Awesome
So what with running their own labels, recording for Sondos, Honchos, Distraekt , Eden and Mixmaster, remixing and finding time to DJ - ?The Kings of Tribal' (CD Pool) are 'the busiest guys in House at the moment? (Tom Stephan, Superchumbo), and not only are ?these the guys to watch, beating the path with their Tribal-Tech rhythms? (Subliminal Records US), but are also ?one of the hottest production teams in the UK right now? (Nick Harris, NRK), and to cap it off, highly accomplished DJ?s who play a blistering set, full of energetic house music, that raises the roof every time..
Piliavin & Zimbardo hail from the north of England, and in the course of the past few years they have released some sonically earth-quaking House music, on many of the key labels in the underground House scene, including Sondos, Star69, Honchos Music, Mixmaster and Distraekt Records. Now described as the ?Kings of the Tribal Beatz? (CD Pool, Oct 2003) the pair are taking on the world with their armoury of distinct tribal rhythms, and powerful twisted tech beatz. Remixing for the likes of Star69, Sunkissed, Juicy Music, Beatfreak, Release, New Era, Statrax and more, and support for their sound coming in from the likes of Robbie Rivera, Victor Calderone, Oscar G, Peter Rauhoffer, That Kid Chris, Tom Stephan, Antony Pappa and many more, it seems there is no stopping the sound of their drums!
