1n 1995, Netmix.com became the first ever online mix-show site, broadcasting mixes by the world's most influential DJs. Netmix was recognized by Billboard's Dance Music columnist, Larry Flick, as "the innovation and advancement of dance music" online. That was over 17-years ago. The site appeared in DJ Times, Dance Music Authority, DJ Magazine and MixMag and reached over 1 Million visitors per year.
Netmix broadcast the first ever online mix show by Paul Oakenfold, Armand Van Helden, and Lil Louie Vega, among others. All those shows remain in Netmix's archives on DAT and CD and have been offline since January of 2001, when Netmix was forced to go dark after the dotcom crash of 2000 affected its ability to generate revenue.
Netmix founder, Tony Zeoli (DJ Tony Z), relaunched Netmix as a blog in 2003. The site is where you can also find his podcast.
There are 12 shows online here: http://www.netmix.com/category/podcast.
You can also subscribe to the Podcast: http://feeds.feedburner.com/netmixglobalhousesessions/
We are working on bringing many of those old shows back online through either MixCloud or Mixlr as live streams. Stay tuned as there is more to come.
