Ukranian ambient-garage producer Lostlojic offers up an engulfing, rock-solid garage workout this week, overflowing with lush textures, dashes of dirty bass, Burial-esque ambience, and the frenetic take on the genre from various contemporary experimentalists.
Lostlojic pours in several of his own beautifully understated and quietly captivating creations to the mix, sitting perfectly alongside a host of much-loved names (Machinedrum, Mosca, Boxcutter and Justin Martin, whose ‘Don’t Go’ starts the mix with a deceptively upfront bounce), and some lower-key but equally praiseworthy
ones, including Russian producer Volor Flex, GoldFFinch, and the torn-up dub twists of Bristol’s Gatekeeper. Genuinely enticing stuff.
