I think I remember reading or hearing there has already been 19 court 'reviews' on this case....that is more than enough IMHO.

I think its actually Bill Frist who's behind a lot of the hub-bug up "on the hill".

Here's some food for thought, its called the Texas Futile Care Law. Check this out:

You can't turn on a TV without hearing about Terri Schiavo. Right to Life group are shocked at the thought that after 16 years in a Persist...

unbelievable! just shows the clear duplicity of Bush.

Damn it does...this is very much strengthening Michael's case...but you know that they're gonna do now: stall the process in the courts, until he gives up...

He hasn't given up in 15 years, he's got his wife's wishes keeping him motivated.

If I have to see her face on tv one more time! The media drowns us in images until we are cold hearted and callous (sp?).

The thing that I find fascinating about all this is that I think these same pro-lifers argue that abortion is not natural and its not what "god" would want.
Life support is not natural and i doubt that if there were a god he/she would want that either. There's a point when technology is useless and inappropriate.

This might be slightly off topic, and I don't mean to sound callous, but who is paying her medical bills? Just a one night stay in a hospital bed can be quite expensive. Is all of her care insured?

Medical Costs for both Mike S. and Terri's parents is not a problem. But at the moment Mike is paying.

Re: Bush terminates vacation to save comapatient's life.

Not knowing what her thoughts were one way or the other I would error on the side of allowing her to live especially when this move by the federal government allows a federal court to review the case. I see nothing wrong with that. Typically I would rather have the feds stay out of the state's issues, but if we are giving this one more shot then let them stake their claims once more, if it is all solid then that should stand. (which I think it pretty much will stand)
The fact that the government is "stepping in" is absurd. Someone already said this here but, HELLO, there are some real issues for them to be concerned about before they all recess for spring break. Do not get me started on why the f**k they get a spring break. You really want them telling you how to die? You really want the 'fedreal' court to rule on how you have to remain alive? That is what they are doing to this poor woman.

i think this is a ploy to take peoples' minds off of the war in iraq. lets all butt our heads into somebody else's business and letthe media and hippies run with it and inflate the issue by 100 fold. i don't want to know about what happens to this woman and neither should anyone else that doesn't know her. for fuck's sake USA, drop it already and get back to the BIGGER ISSUES.
Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?

If so, they're doing a great job...

On the other hand, this is dealing with some elemental questions in society, which have to be answered IMO. Any decision on this matter will influence the way the constitution will be explained in the future too, I think it touches the core of society and the way it deals with human/personal rights and death in general...

Looks like the 11th Circuit has again denied the Schindler family's request to intervene. I so hope we can just let this poor woman die in peace now -- what should have been a private matter has been blown into an absolute circus. What a shame...
