Now for any of you who for the past 10 years managed to avoid this date being branded on your memories, the 27th July is the opening ceremony of the biggest event in the world! Now Mr Danny Boyle, the curator of the 2012 Olympic Ceremony approached us and asked if we would host the after party! As honoured as we were we gracefully refused and explained to him that we were very conscious of our public image and wanted to throw a small affair for all our friends and fans. We went on to explain that this intimate affair was to be a showcase of some of the best talent connected with the label...

“I’m shy, nervous and anxious about life,” says Youandewan. You can tell that by his music, be it the doleful, dubby remixes of Maya Jane Coles, Gerry Read or Sei A he’s turned in, or the garage-tinged originals he has crafted for Skream’s Disfigured Dubz and London’s non-specific bass hub, 2nd Drop. Of course, there’s also the notable “1988” (the first thing he ever produced and which was never intended to see the light of day) and a remix of Dusky’s “Lost in You” which regularly gets spun in the dusty dungeons of Berlin’s Berghain. But none of these really sum-up the reticent Leeds lad, for his loosely house and bass leaning sound is forever on the move.
As a DJ, Youandewan’s cultured and considered sets have earned him a residency at Leeds establishment System, whilst he’s also a regular guest at Wax:On. Though he prefers hiding to over-hyping, for those who know, they know…

At Join The Dots headquarters we try and stay as modest and unbiased as we can about our exports, so we'll keep this one short. Duff Disco is one of the founding members of Join The Dots and is quite a nice guy. His disco edits which sell all over the world have done quite well and his DJ shows occasionally take him as far as Japan and Dubai. Apparently he's quite generous too and decided to recently give away his whole back catalog of Disco edits for free...

Being brought up on a mixture of Blues and Bluegrass, James Welsh was going to gigs before he could walk. A guitarist since the age of 8, experimenting at the age of 14 with multiple tape recorders and Future Music cover cd's led to him traveling to Texas to take over electronic duties in post punk outfit 'The Rise'. James then signed as 'Ocelot' to Mark Jones’ Wall Of Sound label, playing everywhere from main stage Creamfields to rooftops in Miami. Officially remixing Rob Zombie, Depeche Mode and a pre-bald Britney Spears. It could be said, James Welsh has had quite a career already and we are VERY excited about his forth coming release on Join The Dots!

Helen S is the temptress who rules the airways each month as host of our radio show.
A member of the crew for the last 18months, she kicked off her musical career at BBC Radio 1 back in the day working alongside the likes of John Peel (R.I.P.), Mary Anne Hobbs and Gilles Peterson to bring the most beautiful beats around to the nation’s ears. Since then, she’s run her own nights, presented reams of radio shows, partied at just about every club and festival the country has to offer and perfected her musical pitch with hours of dj’ing and dedicated listening to everything from jazz tinged techno to eery electronica.

Joe Jackson is one of the founders of Join The Dots. Despite his DJ appearances being far and few between, they are always ones to look forward to. Joe's last appearance alongside Objkt Karenn and Redshape at Hackney Downes Studios displayed his ability to play alongside some of the best.
