Junk Department, with its forward-thinking musical policy, powerhouse of a soundsystem, meticulous attention to detail, enthusiasm and party-first, ask-questions-later ethos, have been blazing a trail over the past few years in the clubbing industry. Working closely with Cocoon, Moon Harbour, Circo Loco, Superfreq, Channel Zoo, Crosstown Rebels and Get Physical, and holding some of the best boat parties in the country, it’s safe to say they are super-heavyweights of the UK clubbing fraternity.
Originally drawn together to the South Coast as if by magic 6 years ago for the infamous Junk Club project are the passionate collective behind the brand – known as the Junk family – comprising of DJs, producers, promoters, artists and graphic designers – originating from flourishing and cosmopolitan areas of the UK including Bristol and London – with hints of Sicilian and Eastern European blood thrown in. What stands out most is the common and uncanny love for music and their shared dream – to put on the best parties in the world.
With a hectic calendar stretching from London, Amsterdam, Germany, Serbia and Ibiza, we're honoured to have them join us at new Jaunt> HQ; Basing House for what's set to be the biggest Jaunt> & Friends to date...
Joining long-standing Junk residents and young-guns emerging onto the deep house scene; Luca Pilato & Jody Hanna is Jaunt> friend and recent Hot Creations signing wAFF. It's no wonder he's been invited to join the Junk troops after smashing the infamous Junk Club apart weeks ago - it's a proven formula that's about to take Basing House by storm.
