            Release Notes :

            01. Andrew Grant & Lomez - Distant Thunder (Original Mix) (Has To Be Love EP) [My Favorite Robot Records | MFR055]

The ever-impressive My Favorite Robot Records teams up with Circo Loco resident Andrew Grant & production partner Lomez for a superb new EP backed with a remix from Crosstown Rebels artist Amirali.

Andrew Grant & Lomez are no strangers to My Favorite Robot Records, having provided one of the highlights of last years Sixth Stimulus Package in the shape of the excellent Oshno. Now they are back with a new EP that is set to cement their position as part of the MFRR stable.Individually the pair have achieved much in dance music circles; Andrew is a resident for superclub Circo Loco, has released on labels such Plastic City, Connect Four & Barraca and set up his own EDEC & Blau Motif imprints, Baltimore resident Lomez has toured the world as a DJ, recorded for MFRR & Little Helpers and has music lined up on the super hot Hypercolour label amongst others.

The Has To Be Love EP is a superb package featuring three brand new tracks from the duo as well as a remix from rising Crosstown Rebels star Amirali. The record opens with the entrancing strains of Distant Thunder, a wonderfully hypnotic deep and techy house affair that fuses subtle melodies with fluttering bass and rolling drums to create a record with real feeling.

Second of the three originals comes in the shape of title track Has to be Love, journeying into eighties tinged electro territory with its Human League-esque drums and soaring synths playing host to the heavily effected vocals, sublime stuff. Next we have Be Free which sees the pair drop the tempo and deliver a laid back and soulful gem.

To round off the package My Favorite Robot have handed remix duties to current Crosstown Rebels hot property Amirali who takes time out from the promotion of his debut album to deliver a wonderful reinterpretation of Has to be Love. The drums are stripped back, the parts twisted up and the record is reimagined as a sonic soundscape existing on the outer reaches of our known electronic universe, beautiful stuff.

Andrew Grant & Lomez have delivered another sterling record and have added a record to the My Favorite Robot Record catalogue that is sure to stand the test of time, enjoy.

            02. Stimming & David August - Sexy Biest (Gui Boratto Remix) (5 Years Diynamic Charity Compilation) [Diynamic | DIYNAMCCD08]

After five years of its highly successful existence, after founding its sister-label 2DIY4, after opening its own club EGO in Hamburg, after sending its artists all around the globe and after having brought more than 50 releases into this world - it's time to celebrate Diynamic's fifth birthday! And this charity-compilation is Diynamic's gift for all of you.

All benefits of this compilation will be donated to Kinderhospiz Sternenbrücke, an organization that accompanies terminally ill children in the last time of their lifes. The Kinderhospiz is Hamburg-based and currently collecting for a room for music-therapy.

The sampler is splitted into two CDs, one to show Diynamic's current sound and one to cross the borders of house-music, to refresh Diynamic's greatest hits. In five years Diynamic has become a big family and of course each member has to be part of Diynamic's fifth birthday compilation.

Solomun, Stimming, David August, H.O.S.H., UNER, Ost & Kjex, DJ Phono, Adriatique, Thyladomid, Hunter/Game and Liem all did awesome exclusive tracks for the first CD of the compilation. Aiming to define Diynamic's current sound, the different family-members did wonderful and powerful tracks easily reaching their aims.

On the second CD artists from completely different genres of music put hands on the greatest hits of Diynamic. They remix, rework or cover a song from Diynamic's catalogue with the intension to bring on their very own level. Hot Chip, Digitalism, Cassius, WhoMadeWho and many, many more have taken part on this charity-project to increase the donation for Kinderhospiz Sternenbrücke and of course they have done very unbelievable tracks. This compilation is a must-have for anybody that has followed Diynamic in the past years and for anyone that wants to start following now. It's a milestone in the labels history and all in all it's the best gift you could imagine.

03. Kollektiv Turmstrasse - Schwindelig (Ian O'Donovan Remix) (Rebellion der Träumer Remixes Part 3) [Connaisseur Recordings | cns052-6]

“Schwindelig” from Kollektiv Turmstrasse was definitely the most successful track from their album “Rebellion der Träumer”. Reason enough for us to use it for our first remix competition in cooperation with Junodownloads. The participants definitely did not make it easy for us. We didn’t expect so many high quality interpretations. We had submissions ranging from ambientish ear candies to proper emo-step, from frickel-beat to mädchen-techno.

In the end, we decided on nine winner remixes. Eight remixes will be part of the digital package, while three will be released physically on vinyl, including one vinyl exclusive. Of course, some interpretations do not mirror the sound you are used to hearing from us, but we think this is not the goal of a remix competition. We find we have found a great selection, and we hope you will enjoy them as much as we do. The over-all winner by the way, chosen by Kollektiv Turmstrasse, is Clemens Ruh with his incredibly deep and touching piece of music.

In autumn, we will present the fourth and last part of the “Rebellion der Träumer” remix series. We are more than proud to have two extraordinary acts on the remix duties to close this project. More information coming soon…

            04. Kassey Voorn - Lost In Jumeira (Tom Middleton Liquatech Mix) [audio tonic Records | AT013]

Just when things couldn’t get any hotter, audio tonic fire out a peak time summer sure player from the Greek golden wonder Kassey Voorn, entitled ‘Lost In Jumeirah’, loaded with a remix by none other than dance music’s Jedi, Tom Middleton.

audio tonics 12 release catalogue has so far shown a diverse yet refined selection of music which showcases the sound of the labels weekly 10 hour party hosted at 360ş Dubai

Kassey Voorn is fast becoming one of the futures high breed DJ/Producers, already with releases on Bedrock, Sudbeat, Baroque and Lowbit. With ‘Lost In Jumeirah’ he delivers a peak time tech progressive monster, pulsating bottom end with an electric synth hook that will no doubt see hands in the air across ‘big room’ floors.

Tom Middleton is a man who can do no wrong, an electronic music legend. His remix takes the ‘liquatech’ definition into a new dimension, with a heavy slant on Detroit Techno sound palettes working elements of the original track into a deep-peak monster in true Middleton fashion!
