    Jiro Dreams of Sushi

Finally watched this as it has been on my to see list for a while.

Awesome documentary about an amazing person and his dedication to his work, plus some amazing looking food. Great movie. 9/10.

While I enjoyed a lot of the shots, his dedication, and the anecdotes about their rice supplier not selling rice to the Hyatt because they wouldn't know how to cook it, the doco never really explained what made his sushi so special. I think Jiro mentioned in passing about inventing new sushi and the Michellin people must've given him the stars for more than just fresh good tasting fish. It left me wondering what set his sushi apart beyond the fella's idiosyncrasies.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

Personally I would find it a little strange eating sushi at a price of such extravagance after you watch someone's hands all over moments before. But maybe that's just me.

It was fun while it lasted...

Weird. I watched this documentary on the very day this thread was started. Kinda creeped out.

It was an enjoyable documentary and the score used (lots of Glass) was strong, too.

I find myself wanting to watch more documentaries than I do fictional films. Hmmm
